INF International Nepal Fellowship [INF] is a Christian mission serving the physical and spiritual needs of Nepali people. www.inf.org.np

INF Nepal is a Nepali non-government organisation serving Nepali people through health and development works. INF Nepal aims to bring sustainable improvements in health and quality of life of people and communities. We work to overcome poverty and exclusion by bringing people together to take collective action in their communities. Our community areas of work include community health and developme

nt, community-based rehabilitation, mother and child health and nutrition. We run three well-equipped hospitals and we endeavour to provide quality care and affordable health services to the people of Nepal. We also run general physical rehabilitation services and medical-surgical outreach in remote parts of Nepal. We have developed a disaster response and resilience team to respond rapidly and effectively to any emergencies, to work with communities, to help them recover, to become disaster resilience in long term and to prepare for future disasters. INF Nepal has its Central Office in Pokhara, Nepal’s second-largest city, and runs programmes across the western regions of Nepal covering several health and development works. INF Nepal employs over 400 Nepali staff.

Emergency Response Update | Bajura

On 28 May 2026, a sudden flash flood and strong winds struck Ward No. 1 of Budhinanda Rural Municipality in Bajura District, causing widespread damage and leaving families in urgent distress. Homes and essential food supplies were destroyed within moments, severely disrupting daily life across the community.

Preliminary reports indicated that more than 100 households were affected, with many families facing immediate food insecurity and loss of basic necessities.

In response, INF Bajura immediately coordinated with local government representatives, advocating for an urgent and organized response. This led to a Municipal Disaster Management Committee (MDMC) meeting on 29 May 2026, where stakeholders agreed on coordinated support for affected families.

As an immediate life-saving intervention, INF Nepal provided urgent emergency assistance to the most vulnerable households to help address critical needs in the aftermath of the disaster.

INF Nepal remains committed to supporting the affected communities not only in immediate relief but also throughout the recovery phase. We continue to work closely with local authorities and partners to ensure timely and inclusive support reaches those most in need.

Together, we respond. Together, we rebuild hope.

Her Health is a Right: Invest to End Fistula and Childbirth Injury

On the occasion of International Day to End Obstetric Fistula, we stand together to raise awareness and advocate for every woman's right to safe motherhood, quality healthcare, dignity, and hope.

Obstetric fistula is preventable and treatable, yet many women continue to suffer due to barriers in accessing timely maternal healthcare. Together, we can help end preventable childbirth injuries and create healthier futures for women and communities.

In Kalikot, where access to adolescent health information is often limited due to geographic remoteness, limited resources, and social sensitivities around discussing sexual health, the Mobile Learning Lab is creating new pathways for learning. Through this initiative, girls are able to access comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education in an interactive and safe learning environment. This approach is helping to strengthen their awareness, build confidence, and support their continued journey in school.

On a quiet village path in Bhee, Mugu, a lady carries hay home—something she has done all her life with quiet strength.

More than two decades ago, water meant walking miles from the village. INF helped bring water closer to homes, making daily life easier. Health and sanitation programs, along with metallic smokeless stoves, have helped families stay healthier and reduced pressure on forests.

What does a small change mean in your life?

Drought and drying water sources made water scarce in Semari Village, Kapilvastu due to the effects of climate change. With partnership from the local municipality, INF Nepal established a rainwater collection centre, bringing a practical solution for irrigation and farming.

Today, Nazir Miya and many families in the village are using this water to grow crops and improve their livelihoods.

Read how this simple solution is helping the community turn scarcity into productivity.
