SOS Bahini Social Audit – FY 2082/83

On 3 October 2026, SOS Bahini successfully conducted its Social Audit for Fiscal Year 2082/83 with the participation of distinguished guests, stakeholders, beneficiaries, and representatives from various vendors ,schools and social organizations.

The program was chaired by Ms. Durga Dhakal, Chairperson of SOS Bahini, while Mr. Ram Mohan Acharya, Ward Chairperson of Pokhara Metropolitan City–7, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

Representatives from various stakeholder organizations, schools and social organizations actively participated in the event and shared their valuable perspectives and feedback.

An independent social auditor, Mr. Dipendra Shrestha, presented the overall Social Audit Report of SOS Bahini, highlighting the organization’s programs, achievements, progress, accountability, and areas for further improvement.

The program was hosted by Ms. Shobha Pahari, Executive Director of SOS Bahini.

Beneficiaries from various SOS Bahini programs, including re-integrated beneficiaries, shared their experiences, achievements, reflections, and valuable suggestions during the program. Their voices and experiences provided meaningful insight into the impact of SOS Bahini’s work.

SOS Bahini successfully conducted its 22nd Annual General Assembly on 20 September 2026 with the Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 7 Pokhara, as the Chief Guest. On the occasion, prizes were also distributed to the winners of the essay writing, public speaking, and musical chair competitions organized by Nabin Child Club as part of the celebration of the 62nd National Children’s Day.

16 August 2026, SOS Bahini received 80 Wellness Package Boxes from The Wellness Box Foundation to support the health and well-being of our beneficiaries.

Along with the generous donation, the team from The Wellness Box Foundation also conducted an informative Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) orientation session, with the participation of 46 beneficiaries. The session focused on raising awareness about menstrual hygiene, healthy practices, and the importance of maintaining dignity and confidence during menstruation.

We sincerely appreciate Mr. Gaurav Poudel, Director of The Wellness Box Foundation, and the entire team for their kindness, valuable support, and commitment to promoting menstrual health and well-being among girls and women. 💜

On the occasion of World Environment Day, 39 beneficiaries and 6 staff members attended an inspiring drama performance at Pokhara Theatre, titled “Earth 2.0 Loading.”

The thought-provoking drama highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and encouraged us to reflect on our responsibility toward protecting our planet. Through a powerful message, it reminded us that Earth is our only home, and without it, we risk losing not only our environment but also our identity and future.

Let us join hands in caring for our planet and taking meaningful actions to create a greener, healthier, and more sustainable world for generations to come.

On 19 May 2026, SOS Bahini successfully conducted a Mental and Psychosocial Health Awareness Program for community trainees attending Hand Embroidery and Cutting classes at the Bahini Training Center. A total of 19 participants actively participated in the session. It was facilitated by our counselor Ms. Basanti Khattri.

The program created a safe and open space where participants shared their personal experiences, concerns, and challenges related to mental health and psychosocial wellbeing. Some participants also discussed mental health issues faced within their families and raised thoughtful questions during the interaction.

The session encouraged open dialogue, mutual understanding, and awareness, making it highly engaging and meaningful for all participants.

This year, all 9 beneficiaries successfully passed the SEE examination with dedication, perseverance, and hard work. Among them, 4 beneficiaries are from our residential care program, while 5 are from our community support program.

It was a joyful recreational day filled with learning, exploration, and new experiences beyond the classroom. Moments like these create lasting memories and inspire young minds.

Today, the Nabin Child Club of our organization successfully organized a storytelling competition for students of Grades 3–6 during the school vacation period. A total of 8 enthusiastic participants took part, showcasing their creativity, confidence, and communication skills.

Such activities play an important role in nurturing imagination and self-expression among children.
