We're really happy to share this new partnership with you all 🤝

The work will focus on Dhangadi, Kailali, and it also connects with our community learning centers in Kaski and Syangja, places we've been building alongside communities for a while now.

The community asked us to come back.

When we first stepped back from the Community Learning Center in Ramkot, Fedikhola, our hope was that the community would gradually take ownership and run the center independently. But, parents, local leaders, and community members came to us with a simple request: "Please don't leave us yet."

They shared how much the center continues to mean to their children. It is more than just a place to learn. It is a safe space where children build confidence, discover their potential, and dream beyond their circumstances. While the community remains committed to eventually managing the center on its own, they also recognized that they still need a little more time, guidance, and support to get there.

We listened.

That is why we are reopening the Community Learning Center. As we begin this new chapter, we cannot do it alone. We are looking for individuals, organizations, and friends who believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and thrive. Your support can help keep the center open, provide quality learning opportunities, and strengthen the community so that one day they can proudly sustain it on their own.

Sharing an update from Arandada community — we held our first dream-building session, where community members themselves gave this process a meaningful name: "Sapana Chautari", a space that reflects their shared dreams and aspirations.

They openly discussed the challenges they face, the ways they have tried to address them, and the lessons they have learned along the way. The session ended with a shared commitment to return with clearer and more defined dreams, both for themselves and for their community.

A promising start to a community-led journey of dreaming, learning, and creating solutions together.

It was an inspiring learning journey!

The 5-day Train the Trainers (TTT) on Green Skills in Jobs in Hospitality (GSJH) has successfully concluded with an enriching learning experience for 15 industry leaders from hospitality colleges, hotels and resorts, tourism enterprises, business support organizations, and the media in Pokhara.

The professionals further strengthened their knowledge, facilitation skills, and practical understanding of green skills and sustainable hospitality through this intensive training led by an expert facilitator Mr. Bernhard Huber from the Swiss Hotel Management School (SHL), Switzerland.
The program refined their existing expertise and equipped them with new tools, methods, and confidence to effectively deliver high-quality training to others.

They are now ready to lead the next phase by training more than 500 hospitality professionals, supporting to build a workforce that embraces environmentally responsible practices and contributes to a more sustainable tourism industry in Nepal.

A heartfelt thank you to all the participants, facilitators and partners whose dedication and collaboration made this journey a success.

Here we begin the 5-day Train the Trainers (TTT) on Green Skills in Jobs in Hospitality (GSJH) under the DIGO Project, hosted by Nepal Tourism & Hotel Management College (NTHMC) in Pokhara.

This intensive 5-day program brings together 15 senior professionals representing hospitality colleges, hotels and resorts, tourism enterprises, business support organizations, and the media from across Pokhara. Led by expert facilitator from Swiss Hotel Management School (SHL), the training combines global expertise with practical approaches to integrating sustainability into hospitality education and industry practices.

Beyond strengthening the knowledge and facilitation skills of the participants, this program is designed to create a multiplier effect. Upon successful completion, these trainers will transfer their learning to more than 500 hospitality professionals, helping build a workforce that is better equipped to embrace environmentally responsible and sustainable practices.

We are investing in people who will inspire change, strengthen institutions, and contribute to a more sustainable future for Pokhara's hospitality sector.
