Hemja Youth Information Centre is community base organization formed by local youth of Hemja in 2060B.S. Since its inception HYIC has grown into a influential organization in the field of social work. It mainly focuses on sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of young population and its works in HIV/AIDS, Drug abuse awareness, counseling and youth skill development. Youth information centre has its
own small library of books, newspaper and magazines contains wide range of topics including health nutrition, environment, sanitation, agriculture and currents affairs. Objective
• To increase participation of youth in program related to sexual and reproductive health
• To enhance the awareness of youth of SRH, HIV/AIDs Drug abuse among youth population
• To increase active involvement of youth in social welfare programs
• To enhance the youth skill through various vocational trainings
• To improve the linkage and co-ordination with community leaders, parents, line agencies etc for creating a favorable support system to improve SRH of youth people. HYIC' Activities
