The Youth For Environment Education And Development Foundation (YFEED Foundation) is the organization of young individual peoples of Nepal that is specifically advancing youth's rights, including indigenous youth in the country. It aims to empower, particularly the indigenous youth, by raising their awareness and educating the young peoples on various issues confronting them and their communities;
facilitating the exchange of information and experiences among and between youth, multiple groups, and sectors; and organizing the indigenous and non-indigenous youth in the country by providing platforms, venues, and spaces for their participation in local, national, regional and international processes. It mainly aims to strengthen youth voices for inclusive democracy and dialogues with policymakers and stakeholders to ensure better youth rights, jobs, and opportunities. Its primary mission is also to enable Indigenous youth and communities to claim and exercise their human rights, including the privilege against poverty by way of educating, organizing, and mobilizing primary right holders in human rights promoting actions; research and evidence-based policy advocacy; providing complimentary services; economic empowerment and promoting socially responsible inclusive growth and equitable development. Its other mission is to internalize sensitization of child, adolescent, and indigenous youth to protect and promote their rights, focusing on their empowerment and involvement in social programs to bring lasting peace and prosperity to Nepal. Our vision is to build a model society where every youth, adolescent, and child, including young indigenous peoples, lives a dignified life without discrimination, exploitation, and injustice. Our vision is also to contribute towards developing a fair and just society by strengthening the capacity of the community members, promoting social justice, securing human rights, and establishing lasting peace. The YFEED Foundation also envisions a just, democratic and prosperous Nepal where all youth, including indigenous youth, realize their fundamental human rights and freedoms.
