Needle Weave is a team of Architects/Engineers and Designers providing Engineering,Design and Construction Services. For the time being, we are collaborating with Shovahity Youth Club (estd. 2055 B.S) located in Shovahity-14,Lalitpur. As the whole nation has suffered from this disaster, we have combined our interest to provide reliefs to the victims, help the ones suffering as much as we can from
our level and help rebuild the hope that we can overcome this hurdle sooner than later. Objective:
1) To collect materials/funds from localities and communities (Tents,Mats,Blankets,Clothes,Food)
2) To collect funds from any willing donors inside and outside Nepal. Transparency is our prime motto. We will be updating our accounts of every penny of our everyday event till we will be financially able to run this social cause. Program Stages
1st Stage
- Sanitation Program in highly devastated old settlements in the outer ring of Kathmandu Valley.
- Water Supply
- Awareness Programs (health awareness with support of medical teams)
2nd Stage
Select the affected village after consulting the local authorities where any sort of relief has yet not reached. We will be preparing kits from the materials collected from communities in Kathmandu & funds received from the willing donors. We will buy additional materials as per requirements after going through the available data from the local authorities or through other reliable sources.
A single kit may include:
a) Tents (Shelter)
b) Dry Food/Packed food
c) Safety Kits / First Aid Kits / sanitary pads
d) Medicines for Primary Health Care (as Prescribed by medical personnel)
e) other necessary stuffs as per the need and viability
Program Scope
A day program:
After consulting to the local authorities about the victimized area, we will be preparing kits as per the requirement of that area. ( 1 kit per family) . Then we will be heading towards the location with full preparation. Schedule for Program
- Distribution of the kits to each and every family.
- Establishment of shelters(Tents) with the involvement of the locals of the affected area.
- Run a primary health checkup program through our health team and provide medicines accordingly.
As this is also the team of technical experts, Architects and Engineers, we will be giving a technical presentation to the local authorities and the leading persons in the affected zone regarding how we can raise Communal feeling to rebuilt the village with the local materials and fight with a common spirit against the loss we faced.
