Last week, we had seriese of conservation / wildlife awareness classes in schools in bufferzone area of Western Chitwan.
Students learned about wild animals, their role in ecosystem and need of conservation of wilderness and wildlife.
Students also explored the jungle on jeep safari and enjoyed the beauty of nature.

We believe that, conservation education should be integrated in schools. These classes foster deep-seated empathy toward nature and wildlife helping young minds realize that protecting ecosystems is fundamentally linked to human health and future survival.

Glimpses of 'Forest fire control training' in Meghauli, Chitwan.

Story of Tiger Conservationist.. (- by Devendra Basnet)
....During one darting operation (in mid 70's) a tigeress with young cubs attacked him.
After being sedated and collared, Kirti Man stayed back up on a tree to observe the tiger. When she woke up and saw the man high up on a tree she became really angry and tried and get up to him. Unable to reach up she backed up some distance and ran up in full speed, leaped up high, and managed to pull Kirti Man down from 18 feet up the tree. Once on the ground the tiger mauled him repeatedly but suddenly called her cubs and disappeared into the tall elephant grass. Luckily Kirti Man lived to tell the tale.
