It’s such an honor to welcome back last year’s Winner, Man kumar Magar of our Everest Heritage Mini Marathon once again this year! 🏃‍♂️⛰️

Your passion, energy, and love for the trails of Khumbu truly inspire us all. From the beautiful heritage villages of Namche, Khumjung, and Khunde to the breathtaking Himalayan views, we are excited to have you back for another unforgettable race.

Thank you for being part of this journey and for supporting our community event. We can’t wait to cheer for you again on the trails of Khumbu!

To honor the historic first ascent of Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, the Namche Youth Group is proud to continue the tradition for the second year with the Everest Himalayan Race on May 27th.

Building on last year’s energy and success, this year promises to be even more exciting as we come together to celebrate Everest Day.

Earth Day was successfully observed today with tree plantation and stream cleaning activities. It was a meaningful and impactful event for our community. Thank you to everyone who contributed and made this program a great success.

Namche Youth Group is proud to receive support from Madison Mountaineering Foundation to set up a water ATM in Namche Bazaar.
We can’t wait to bring it up here and take another step toward cutting down single-use plastic. Thank you for the support!

This once-degraded slope in Namche has been carefully restored by the Namche Youth Group with support from Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality. Using simple, low-cost methods, soil was secured in packed bags to prevent erosion and shape new terraces. Now, this space is ready for the next step—on April 22nd, we will come together to plant trees and bring life back to this land, turning it into a greener and more sustainable part of our community.

Happy Losar! 🎉

On this special Losar day, we are very happy to share good news with our community. We have secured funding for a new Water ATM that will be installed in our village to help reduce and eliminate single-use plastic bottles.

This project also supports the government’s commitment to ban single-use plastic bottles in the Khumbu region, as pledged by Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality. We are proud that this effort contributes directly to these environmental goals.

Our sincere thanks to Madison Mountaineering Foundation for their generous support in making this possible. 🙏💧

We warmly invite other individuals, donors, and mountaineering communities to come forward and partner with us to set up more Water ATMs and help build a cleaner, plastic-free Khumbu together.

Proud moment for our team! 🙌Even though we were formed at the last minute, the boys gave their absolute best and fought all the way to the finals — finishing as runners-up with true team spirit and determination.

We are truly proud of each and every player for the heart and effort shown on the field. Special appreciation to our manager, Lhakpa Thendup — you made us all proud. ⚽🔥

नाम्चे युथ ग्रुपको १५औं खुम्बु ल्होसार कपको सेमीफाइनल प्रदर्शन एकदमै रोमाञ्चक र अविस्मरणीय थियो! प्रतियोगिता फेब्रुअरी ७, २०२६ बाट ANFA कम्प्लेक्स, सातदोबाटोमा सुरु भएको थियो। नाम्चे युथ ग्रुपले समूह चरण र नकआउटमा उत्कृष्ट खेल प्रदर्शन गर्दै फाइनलसम्म पुगे।

सेमिफाइनलमा उनीहरू खुम्जुङ युथ ग्रुपसँग भिडेका थिए। खेलको अधिकांश समय नाम्चे १-३ ले पछि परेको थियो, तर अन्तिम ५ मिनेटमा कमालको कमब्याक गरे! टिमको दृढ संकल्प, उत्कृष्ट टिमवर्क, र फाइटिङ स्पिरिटले खेललाई पल्टाएर विजेता बने। यो कमब्याकले सबै दर्शक र समर्थकहरूलाई चकित पारिदियो –आजको खेललाई सबैले "पुनरागमन जित" (comeback victory) भनेर वर्णन गरेका छन्।

नाम्चेका खेलाडीहरूको मेहनत, एकता र हिमाली नव युवा जोशले सबैलाई गर्व महसुस गराएको छ।
