45-Day Beauty Parlor Training for Gender and Minority Communities

Kanchanpur – A 45-day beauty parlor (makeup) training program has been formally inaugurated with the objective of enhancing the capacity and skills of gender and minority communities.

The program was officially launched on Thursday, Baisakh 17, at the hall of Sahayatra Nepal in Katan, Ward No. 18 of Bhimdatta Municipality, Mahendranagar. The training is organized by the Gender Equality and Social Welfare Section of the Office of the Municipal Executive, Bhimdatta Municipality, Kanchanpur, in coordination with Sahayatra Nepal.

The inauguration program, chaired by Chief Administrative Officer Hari Singh Dhami, was attended by Women Development Officer Kunti Lekhak, Sahayatra Nepal Executive Member Manish Bik, Program Coordinator Chales Bon Sijapati, trainer Keshav Dagaura, and representatives from minority communities.

Addressing the program, Chief Administrative Officer Dhami urged participants to become self-reliant through skill development and to move toward professional careers. He also expressed the municipality’s commitment to providing necessary support in the future.

Similarly, Sahayatra Nepal Program Coordinator Chales Bon Sijapati expressed gratitude to Bhimdatta Municipality for its coordination and support in capacity building and skill development initiatives. The training is expected to empower participants, creating opportunities for employment and self-employment.

ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि : संसदमा लैङ्गिक अल्पसंख्यकको प्रतिनिधित्व 🌈🇳🇵

राष्ट्रिय स्वतन्त्र पार्टीबाट प्रतिनिधिसभामा समानुपातिक तर्फ सांसद पदमा निर्वाचित हुनुभएकोमा भूमिका श्रेष्ठज्यूलाई हार्दिक बधाई तथा सफल कार्यकालको शुभकामना।

नेपालको संसदीय इतिहासमै पहिलोपटक लैङ्गिक अल्पसंख्यक (LGBTIQA+) समुदायबाट प्रतिनिधित्व गर्दै संघीय संसदमा प्रवेश गर्नु वास्तवमै ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि हो। यो उपलब्धि केवल व्यक्तिगत सफलता मात्र होइन, बरु हाम्रो समुदायले वर्षौँदेखि गर्दै आएको संघर्ष, पहिचानको खोजी र समानताको यात्राको महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि हो।

यस ऐतिहासिक प्रतिनिधित्वले समावेशी लोकतन्त्रलाई अझ सुदृढ बनाउँदै लैङ्गिक तथा सामाजिक विविधताको सम्मान र अधिकारका पक्षमा नयाँ आशा जगाएको छ। आगामी दिनमा समावेशी समाज निर्माण, मानव अधिकारको संरक्षण तथा समुदायको हकहितका लागि महत्वपूर्ण योगदान पुग्ने विश्वास व्यक्त गर्दछौँ।

Historic Achievement: Representation of a Gender Minority in Parliament 🌈🇳🇵

Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Bhumika Shrestha on being elected as a Member of the House of Representatives under the proportional representation system from the Rastriya Swatantra Party.

Entering the Federal Parliament as the first representative from the gender minority (LGBTIQA+) community in Nepal’s parliamentary history is truly a historic achievement. This milestone is not only a personal success but also a significant outcome of the long struggle, search for identity, and pursuit of equality by the community over the years.

This historic representation strengthens inclusive democracy and brings new hope for respect toward gender and social diversity and the protection of equal rights. We believe that in the coming days this representation will contribute significantly to building an inclusive society, protecting human rights, and advocating for the rights and interests of the community.

यौनिक तथा लैङ्गिक अल्पसंख्यक समुदायको मानव अधिकार अवस्था सम्बन्धी छलफल कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न

महेन्द्रनगर: यौनिक तथा लैङ्गिक अल्पसंख्यक समुदायका व्यक्तिहरूको मानव अधिकारको अवस्था तथा राष्ट्रिय मानव अधिकार आयोगले गरेको सिफारिसको कार्यान्वयनको अवस्थाबारे छलफल कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न भएको छ।

सोमबार सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेशको कञ्चनपुर जिल्लास्थित सहयात्रा नेपालको सभाहलमा राष्ट्रिय मानव अधिकार आयोग केन्द्रीय कार्यालय, हरिहरभवन ललितपुरको आयोजनामा उक्त छलफल कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न भएको हो।

छलफलका क्रममा सहभागीहरूले स्थानीय सरकारले शिक्षा पाठ्यक्रममा यौनिक तथा लैङ्गिक अल्पसंख्यक समुदायसम्बन्धी विषय समावेश गरेमा अझ प्रभावकारी हुने सुझाव दिनुका साथै आगामी दिनमा नीति तथा कार्यक्रमहरूलाई थप परिमार्जन गर्दै समावेशी बनाउनुपर्ने विषयलाई विशेष जोड दिनुभएको थियो।

उक्त छलफल कार्यक्रममा राष्ट्रिय मानव अधिकार आयोग केन्द्रीय कार्यालयका प्रतिनिधि गणेश जोशी सहयात्रा नेपालका प्रमुख चल्स बोन सिजापति लगायत यौनिक तथा लैङ्गकि अल्पसंख्यक समुदाय सरकारी तथा गैरसरकारी संघसंस्थाका प्रमुख प्रतिनिधिको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो।
