We are delighted to share that an educational support package has been provided to Gudel Secondary School in Mahakulung, the southern part of Mt. Everest.

This initiative was made possible through the funding support of New Futures Nepal, Nepal English Education Foundation, and Kenilworth Lions, which generously funded one of the smart boards, in coordination with Everest Mera Foundation.

The package included 526 student tracksuits with T-shirts for underprivileged children from Everest tourism porter families, 21 adult tracksuits for teachers, two smart boards, and various additional educational materials for the school.

School Principal Chhalak Ram Rai conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to all donors and supporters for their valuable contributions to the students and the entire school community. Members of the ward committee, school management committee, and parents also expressed sincere thanks to everyone involved in making this support possible.

Similarly, the Education Department of Mahakulung Rural Municipality extended its gratitude to all donor organizations and individuals for their meaningful assistance.

Everest Mera Foundation sincerely thanks New Futures Nepal, Nepal English Education Foundation, and Kenilworth Lions for their generous support as well as the families of Gudel Secondary School for their warm welcome and hospitality to the Everest Mera Foundation team.

Heartfelt congratulations to the entire Chheskam Secondary School family on the outstanding achievement in the SEE 2082 examination.

This remarkable success is the result of the collective dedication, perseverance, and hard work of all students, teachers, parents, and generous donors. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to this proud accomplishment.

These exceptional results clearly demonstrate that government community schools are fully capable of providing high-quality education and achieving academic excellence.

We are especially grateful to New Futures Nepal, the Nepal English Education Foundation (NEEF), and all our respected donors who, through our network, have provided consistent and generous support to the school over many years. Their invaluable contributions have played a vital role in expanding educational opportunities for students in this remote region.

Thank you all for your unwavering commitment to ensuring access to quality education and helping build a brighter future for the children of the southern Everest region; one of the most remote parts of Nepal and home to many of the hardworking individuals who contribute significantly to the Everest tourism industry.

We are excited to share that 59 children in Mahakulung Rural Municipality will return to school through our new “Back To School” scholarship program.

The children will join classes from mid-April, the beginning of the new Nepalese academic year.

This program, supported by Ardonagh Community Trust and New Futures Nepal and implemented with Everest Mera Foundation in coordination with Mahakulung Rural Municipality, supports children who have worked as porters or domestic workers in the Everest tourism sector due to extreme poverty, as well as orphans who have lost their parents in the sector.

We believe this initiative will reduce school dropouts and help build a better society.

We sincerely thank all our partners, donors, and community members for their support. Together, we are creating a brighter future for our children.
