FAWN members recently met with Honourable Minister Smt Geeta Chaudhary, who is currently serving as the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development as well as Forests and Environment. During the meeting, FAWN extended heartfelt congratulations on her appointment and conveyed best wishes for a successful and impactful tenure in her new role.

The discussion also focused on opportunities for future collaboration between FAWN and the Ministry, particularly in advancing the Animal Welfare Act, as well as strengthening animal welfare policies and protocols.

FAWN Executive Board’s Visit to the Director General

Following the successful Annual General Assembly of the Federation of Animal Welfare Nepal (FAWN) and the formation of the newly elected Executive Board, FAWN representatives held an introductory meeting with the Director General of the Department of Livestock Services, Government of Nepal.

The meeting provided an important opportunity to introduce the new leadership, exchange views, and discuss areas of collaboration to strengthen animal welfare initiatives across the country. The Director General extended warm congratulations to the newly formed board and reaffirmed the Department’s willingness to work closely with FAWN in advancing humane, sustainable, and science-based animal welfare programmes in Nepal.

FAWN looks forward to fostering constructive partnerships with government stakeholders as we collectively work towards improved animal health, welfare, and responsible coexistence.
