Successfully organized awareness campaigns in different communities of Rajdevi Municipality and Durga Bhagwati Rural Municipality to challenge harmful gender stereotypes and promote womenโ€™s leadership in Disaster Risk Management (DRM). The events created a strong platform for both men and women to openly discuss the unequal impacts of disasters on women, children, elderly people, and marginalized communities.

Through experience sharing by women leaders and CDMC members, participants reflected on social norms, womenโ€™s participation in decision-making, and the importance of inclusive community leadership.

The 9th Asia Conference on Earthquake Engineering (9ACEE) coming up in brings together engineers, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from across the region to advance knowledge, share innovations, and strengthen collaboration on earthquake risk reduction and resilience.

As part of this important regional platform, ADRRN is convening a special session focused on bridging the gap between research and frontline action. This session will spotlight how stronger collaboration between civil society organisations and researchers can lead to more inclusive, context-driven, and impactful earthquake resilience, particularly for communities at the last mile.
