Investing in young people is investing in a healthier future. 🌍❤️

In 2024, 370,000 young people ages 15–24 acquired HIV globally, including 145,000 adolescents ages 15 to 19, and 93,000 children ages 14 and younger acquired HIV in 2025. Yet as health budgets shrink, the programs and services young people need are increasingly at risk.

We already know what works: youth-friendly HIV and sexual and reproductive health services, comprehensive sexuality education, and safe spaces where young people can learn, ask questions, and be heard.

Through programs like Girls Act and Boys2Men, AHF is helping young people access knowledge, build supportive peer networks, and become advocates for healthier communities.

This , we’re calling for continued investment in young people—and a future where every young person has the knowledge, resources, and support they need to thrive.

Debt, Development & Us: A Dialogue on Nepal's Public Debt

Youth Initiative, in collaboration with AIDS Healthcare Foundation is organizing a Youth Dialogue under the "Freedom from Debt" campaign.

This dialogue will bring together university students, young professionals, youth leaders, and representatives of youth-led organizations to engage directly with Nepal's debt managers, lenders, and independent economists. Through an open, evidence-based discussion, participants will explore the country's public debt situation, its implications for Nepal's economic future, and its impact on the lives and opportunities of the younger generation.

The dialogue aims to create a meaningful platform where young people can ask questions, share perspectives, and contribute to informed conversations on economic governance, accountability, and sustainable development.

You don't save money by cutting HIV care.

You pay for it later.

Every preventable HIV infection carries a human cost that can never be measured, and a financial cost that exceeds $500,000 over a lifetime.

Investing in prevention, treatment, and access to medication saves lives, strengthens communities, and reduces healthcare costs for everyone.

Access to care isn't an expense. It's one of the smartest investments we can make.
