स्वास्थ्यका लागि खेलकुद: नसर्ने रोगहरू रोकथामका लागि शारीरिक क्रियाकलाप
शारीरिक क्रियाकलाप मार्फत नसर्ने रोगहरूको रोकथाम सम्बन्धि जनचेतना जगाउन र शारीरिक क्रियाकलापलाई प्रोत्साहित गर्ने उद्धेश्यले राष्ट्रिय स्वास्थ्य शिक्षा सूचना तथा सञ्चार केन्द्रले यस क्षेत्रमा काम गर्ने संघ संस्था संगको समन्वयमा युवाहरुलाई लक्षित गर्दै छोटो भिडिओ प्रतियोगिता आयोजना गरेकाले सो प्रतियोगितामा सहभागिताको लागि सबैलाई आमन्त्रण गर्दछ ।
यस छोटो भिडियो प्रतियोगिताको उद्धेष्य मधुमेह, उच्च रक्तचाप, मुटु रोग, क्यान्सर र श्वासप्रश्वास सम्बन्धी रोगहरू लगायत नसर्ने रोगहरू (NCDs) रोकथामको लागि नियमित शारीरिक गतिविधिलाई प्रभावकारी उपायको रूपमा प्रवर्द्धन गरेर युवाहरूमा जागरूकता जगाउने र सकारात्मक व्यवहार परिवर्तनलाई प्रेरित गर्ने हो।
सहभागिताको लागि दिशानिर्देशन:
१. नेपाली वा अंग्रेजी भाषामा छोटो (१ देखि २ मिनेट सम्मको) भिडियो तयार गर्नुहोस्।
२. भिडियोले नसर्ने रोगहरू, नियमित व्यायाम र स्थानीयस्तरमा उपलब्ध खेलकुदहरूलाई जोडेर सकारात्मक जीवनशैली प्रवर्द्धन गर्नुपर्छ, जस्तै
• खेलकुद, व्यायाम वा सक्रिय जीवनशैलीमा केन्द्रित हुनुपर्छ
• स्वास्थ्य लाभ वा NCDs रोकथाममा स्पष्ट सन्देश देखाउने हुनुपर्छ
• मौलिक, रचनात्मक र आकर्षक हुनुपर्छ
३. भिडियोमा मादक पदार्थ र सूर्तिजन्य पदार्थ प्रयोगको कुनै पनी तस्बिर वा दृश्यहरु नदेखिने गरि बनाईएको हुनुपर्नेछ ।
४.भिडियोलाई आफ्नो व्यक्तिगत फेसबुक, ईन्स्टाग्राम वा टिकटक प्रोफाइलमा सार्वजनिक रूपमा पोष्ट गरि यी ह्यासट्यागहरू प्रयोग गर्नुपर्नेछ :

Under the presidency of Acting President of the Nepal Olympic Committee Mr. Ashok Ratna Bajracharya, a bilateral meeting regarding the 2026 Asian Games was held today at the NOC Building with representatives from the National Sports Council and the Asian Games Preparation Committee.

Vice President Ms. Jyoti Rana, Secretary General Mr. Rajiv Shrestha, and Executive Secretary Mr. Sujan Lal Shrestha represented the NOC. Department Head Mr. Saroj Pokheral and Mr. Sanu Raja represented the National Sports Council, while Chairman Mr. Deepak Bista and Vice Chairman Mr. Deepak Shrestha represented the Asian Games Preparation Committee.

Acting President of NOC Ashok Ratna Bajracharya, along with Vice President Jyoti Raja and Secretary General Rajiv Shrestha, bade farewell to Secretary of NOC and President of the Weightlifting Association Ram Krishna Shrestha and Olympian Rajendra Kumar Pradhan, member of the Weightlifting Association, who have been invited to attend the AWF (Asian Weightlifting Federation) Congress to be held in Gandhinagar from May 12, 2026.

Acting President of NOC Mr. Ashok Bajracharya was the Chief Guest on the closing ceremony of the 4th National Lazer Run Competition 2026 organized by Nepal Modern Pantathlon Association.

Acting President of NOC Mr. Ashok Ratna Bajracharya along with VP Ms. Jyoti Rana and Secretary General Mr. Rajiv Shrestha, bade farewell and extended their best wishes to Mr. Gopal Shrestha participating in the 2026 AWF Asian Senior Weightlifting Championships.

The championship will be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, from May 9 to 17, 2026. Nepal’s Gopal Shrestha has been selected as an International Technical Official (ITO) for the championship.

During the farewell program, Acting President Mr. Bajracharya praised the President of Nepal Weightlifting Association Mr. Ram Krishna Shrestha(Boss) for the continues International Activities from the Weightlifting Association and Secretary General Shrestha expressed confidence that Nepal’s growing participation in international weightlifting events and technical officiating would further elevate the country’s sports sector. He also conveyed his best wishes to the entire team for a successful championship.

In the program Secretary of Nepal Weightlifting Association Mr. Kumar Man Shrestha and EB Member Olympian Rajendra Bahadur Pradhan were also present.

Chief Guest Secretary General of NOC Rajiv Shrestha attended the closing ceremony of the three-day National Game of Baseball Five Championship which was held at the Earthquake Memorial Multipurpose Covered Hall with eight teams.
Bagmati Province won the Second National Baseball Five Championship, defeating Sudurpaschim 14–8 in Sunday’s final.
Deepesh Majhi of Bagmati was named MVP. Lumbini finished third, while Koshi Province placed fourth and received a consolation prize.
Chief Guest Shrestha presented the awards to the winners and best players.
Bhim Singh Gurung Secretary of NOC, Deepak Neupane President of Nepal Baseball Association and other officials were also present.

Team Nepal is ready for the Closing Ceremony of the Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026.

Nepal’s three beach wrestlers Sushila Chand, Triloki Prasad Yadav, and Suresh Chunara were eliminated in the knockout rounds of the 6th Asian Beach Games 2026, but gained valuable experience.

· Sushila Chand (women’s 70kg) lost both matches to India’s Jaspreet Kaur but learned from the high-level competition.
· Triloki Yadav (90kg+) lost all three matches against rivals from Mongolia, Pakistan, and Bahrain.
· Suresh Chunara (80kg) won one match (3-1 against Cambodia’s Roththa Heng) and lost two close 3-1 bouts with Vietnam and Pakistan.

Though all three exited early, their participation helps grow beach wrestling in Nepal and prepares them for future South Asian and international events.

Nepal suffered a 46-23 defeat to Sri Lanka in the women’s beach kabaddi semifinal at the 6th Asian Beach Games 2026.

Trailing 24-12 at halftime, Nepal failed to stage a comeback in the second half.

Earlier, Nepal topped their group by beating Chinese Taipei (48-32), Thailand (49-33), and Bangladesh (38-36). In the other semifinal, India defeated Bangladesh 50-31 to set up a final clash against Sri Lanka.

Nepal advanced to the semifinals of the 6th Asian Beach Games 2026 as Group B winners after a narrow 38-36 victory over Bangladesh. The Nepalese team remained unbeaten throughout the group stage, having earlier defeated Chinese Taipei (48-32) and Thailand (49-33). Nepal will now take on Sri Lanka in the semifinals.
