We are proud to share glimpses from Baithak 2, a powerful two-day virtual dialogue organized by Youth Thinkers Society and (C3) that brought together young changemakers from Nepal and India under one digital roof.

With the theme “India-Nepal Bilateral Youth Dialogue: Confronting Fossil Fuel Lobbying in Global Climate Policy”, Baithak 2 provided a unique parliamentary-style platform for youth to explore, question, and challenge the influence of fossil fuel lobbies on global and national climate decision-making.

Thank you to the speaker and , moderators, and partners who made this event impactful and inspiring. The journey continues, and the youth are leading it.

On May 16, 2025, the Youth Thinkers’ Society partnered with Team ,an annual initiative of the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at Kathmandu University, to host an Open Circle Debate Competition centered around the theme “Zero Carbon Emission,” with Dhulikhel envisioned as the model city.
This dynamic event brought together passionate young minds, fostering the exchange of impactful ideas, promoting environmental awareness, and championing the cause of a sustainable, carbon-neutral future.

Six diverse teams debated across three key topics revolving around problems, policies and governance, and solutions respectively. Students from various faculties at Kathmandu University presented thoughtful arguments and articulated their perspectives with conviction. This collaboration between Team Prakriti and the Youth Thinkers’ Society exemplifies the drive of KU students to extend their learning beyond textbooks, seeking meaningful platforms to make their voices heard.
Through initiatives like this, YTS aims to empower youth by providing opportunities where their insights and contributions truly matter.

Join Us at Baithak 2 Dialogue:

Building a success from Baithak Dialogue, we are excited to announce that Youth Thinkers’ Society (YTS) and proudly present Baithak 2, a two-day virtual youth dialogue bringing together young changemakers from Nepal and India with the theme of “ India-Nepal Bilateral Youth Dialogue: Confronting Fossil Fuel Lobbying in Global Climate Policy”.

This parliamentary-style dialogue will serve as a platform for youth and key speakers from both countries to explore the current landscape of fossil fuel influence in global and national climate policy, and its implications for regional climate action. Through interactive discussions, critical analysis, and team engagement, participants will work together to develop meaningful solutions and a strong youth-led call to action.
