VOC started its mission back in 1997 but was legally established only in 2000. It all started with the rescue of two children and now VOC has helped over 1000 children and families. VOC makes use of ladder approach and works with the street children by rescuing, rehabilitating and reintegrating them into their families or communities by teaching them basic life skills. It also works with the margi
nalized families to empower them and to spread awareness about available services to prevent their children from landing on streets. We basically have two projects: Street Children Project and Program Against Child Sexual Abuse (PACSA). VOC under its Street Children Program, encourages children living on streets to leave street life by capacity building. VOC works with them from initial stage i.e., right from street up to the point where they become self sustainable. This program has 4 sub sections: Prevention, Rescue, Rehab and Reintegration. VOC has been implementing different initiatives to fight against child sexual abuse since establishment. Our main focus areas are: advocacy, rescue and rehabilitation of victims and Capacity building.
