Teach For Nepal is a national movement of outstanding university graduates and young professionals in Nepal, and of Nepalis abroad, dedicated to end education inequity and providing quality education to all children in Nepal. Teach For Nepal is a response to a growing problem of educational inequity in our country. We seek our nation's brightest minds - and our most promising young leaders - to ad

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed attendees of the Truth and Hope Gala 2026. Your presence, participation, enthusiasm and encouragement for the movement to bring equitable education for all students in Nepal.

This special event was made possible by Xtreme Energy Drink, because of whom the entire contribution of the ticket price directly contributed to students express our deepest gratitude cation. The Truth and Hope Gala is fully booked! Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and support for this event.

We are extremely thankful for your relentless work and commitment towards a movement for quality education for all students in Nepal.

Unfortunately we won't be able to accomodate more guests for this event, specifically.

Nepal's public schools hold 75% of the nation's children — and 100% of its future.
But the story of those schools is not simple. It is not just a story of struggle, and it is not just a story of hope. It is both.

At the same time. In the same classrooms.
The truth is that only 40% of students make it to the Secondary Education Examination. That by Grade 3, more than 90% of children cannot read or count at the level they should. That by Grade 10, the majority are failing core subjects — not because they are not capable, but because the system has not given them what they need.

And the hope is that none of this is inevitable.

For 14 years, Teach For Nepal Fellows have been walking into the classrooms that needed them most. Teachers have been showing up. Students have been refusing to give up. A movement has been growing — quietly, persistently, one classroom at a time.

This April 10th, we are bringing both truths into the same room.

The uncomfortable one. And the hopeful one. Because you cannot invest in what you refuse to see. And you cannot change what you choose not to confront.

Some students in Nepal just finished their final exam of this season. Some are preparing for it. Some are currently giving their exams.

This Baisakh, over 5 million students will walk into classrooms across Nepal for their new season. Hopefully, a grade higher.

Full of hope. Full of promise.

But for too many of them — that promise will go unfulfilled. Too many will not graduate. Too many will not receive the kind of education that changes the direction of a life.

Here is what we know we can do.

Through Teach For Nepal's Fellowship, 8000 students will have a committed, trained teacher in their classroom this year — a teacher who believes in their potential and refuses to let circumstances define their future.

That is possible because of people who choose to show up.

Some teachers change what a child believes is possible for themselves.

Rouble Nagi is one of them.

An artist, educator, and social entrepreneur — and the recipient of the Global Teacher Prize 2026, one of the most prestigious recognitions in education in the world — Rouble has spent her life taking art and learning into the communities that needed it most. Schools, slums, and rural villages across India where children had never been given a creative platform — until she showed up.

We are honoured to have Rouble Nagi as our featured speaker at the Truth and Hope Gala 2026.

Her story resonates deeply with what we are trying to do in Nepal's public schools — ensure that every child, regardless of where they were born, has access to a teacher who sees their potential and refuses to let it go to waste.

Truth demands that we see our education system as it is: unequal, under- resourced, yet full of untapped potential. Hope asks us to imagine what it could become.

The 14th cohort of 27 Fellows embodies both.

Having completed their Learning Institute, they now commit two years to teaching and learning alongside communities, carrying with them the belief that transformation is possible, and that hope can be practiced every single day.
