S4W-Nepal is going to launch ‘𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔' with the slogan “𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐒, 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐒” from May 1, 2026. Through this campaign, we aim to generate good spatio-temporal monsoonal rainfall data in the Kathmandu Valley and other different places in Nepal.

Flood risks in Kathmandu are increasing, and S4W-Nepal is working hand-in-hand with local communities to monitor water levels using low-cost sensors and real-time data. The information collected strengthens early warning systems and supports better flood risk planning across the valley.

Smartphones For Water Nepal (S4W-Nepal) is pleased to share the successful completion of our recent training on the GeoClimate Intelligence Platform.

💻 The GeoClimate Intelligence Platform is a user-friendly web tool designed to simplify climate and geospatial data analysis and visualization, developed by Mr. Bhattarai at Jackson State University, USA, under the supervision of Dr. Rocky Talchabhadel and Dr. Nawa Raj Pradhan.
