On 23rd February, 2026, Astitwa Nepal organized the Business Collaborative & Sensitization Meeting with the participation of 15 individuals in Kathmandu under the Strengthening Leadership of Acid and Burn Violence Survivors through Holistic Interventions (SLASH) Project. The meeting created a meaningful platform for dialogue between survivors, business leaders and women entrepreneurship networks to promote inclusive and non-discriminatory employment practices.

Survivors courageously shared their lived experiences of workplace discrimination and emphasized the importance of being recognized for their skills rather than judged by their scars. The session resulted in promising collaboration opportunities, including bulk production orders, advanced skill training, marketing and retail support, and employment openings, marking a significant step toward dignified livelihoods and inclusive workplaces for acid and burn survivors.

Together, we move closer to workplaces that are inclusive, non-discriminatory, and empowering.
