🌄 Samriddha Pahad – Annual Review 2026 | Planning for the Next 5 Years (2026–2030)
Sambriddha Pahad Annual Review 2026, reflecting on journey so far and aligning vision for the next five years in the Kanchenjunga region.
Over the past program cycle, SP team reviewed five pillar programs, highlighting key milestones achieved, lessons learned, and challenges navigated during implementation for the sustainable tourism development . A major highlight of this year was extending partnership with KCMCA (Kangchenjunga Conservation Area Management Council) a critical step toward community-led, sustainable regional and tourism development.
Looking ahead, we also introduced and discussed ECHO for Youth (Empowering Cultural Heritage and Opportunities for Young Innovators) a flagship initiative planned for 2026–2030, funded by the European Union, and fully aligned with our five-pillar approach:
- Pillar I: Environment & Biodiversity Conservation
- Pillar II: Sustainable Tourism Infrastructure
- Pillar III: Community Human Capital & Economic Development
- Pillar IV: Smart Technologies for Inclusive Growth
- Pillar V: Kanchenjunga Destination Marketing
The next five years will focus on protecting cultural and natural heritage, empowering youth and local entrepreneurs, and positioning Kanchenjunga as a resilient, responsible, and globally recognized destination while ensuring communities remain at the heart of development.
Grateful to our partners, local institutions, and communities for the continued collaboration. The journey ahead is ambitious and deeply inspiring. 🌱
