Nepal Christian Relief Services- NCRS Working in disasters affected areas by bringing hope and restoration. This organization was started in 1993 and registered with the Government of Nepal in 2006.

Nepal Christian Relief Services (NCRS) is a humanitarian aid non-profit organization with the mission to assist the disaster-affected and vulnerable communities in becoming disaster-resilient. NCRS has been serving humanity for many years in partnership with various partner organizations and local bodies for relief, rehabilitation, disaster preparedness, and mitigation in Nepal.

On June 4, 2026 NCRS supported 50 households affected by the recent thunderstorm in Jeetpur Simara Metropolitan City–22, Bara. Families received essential relief items, including tarpaulins, mosquito nets(2pcs/Hh), and summer blankets(2pcs/Hh) to help address their immediate needs. The distribution was conducted in the presence of the Ward Chairperson, ward representatives, and local leaders. We are grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside the affected families during this difficult time.

On May 28, 2026, NCRS extended support to families affected by the devastating fire in Bhairampur, Pratappur RM-5, Nawalparasi (West), where 12 households lost their homes and belongings. As part of the intervention, partial shelter support was provided to 12 fire-affected households through the distribution of CGI sheets and basic construction tools to help families begin rebuilding their shelters. Additionally, 30 children from the affected community received educational support materials, including school bags, notebooks, and pencils, to support the continuation of their education. The intervention was conducted in the presence of the Ward Chairperson, local leaders, and community representatives, whose support and coordination contributed to the successful implementation of the relief effort.

For the 2026 monsoon season, Nepal may face a risk of drought due to expected below-normal rainfall and possible El Niño conditions, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. These conditions often weaken monsoon rains and bring hotter, drier weather. This could impact agriculture (especially paddy), drinking water supply, and hydropower generation.
To reduce risks, rainwater harvesting and water conservation are strongly recommended

We are thankful to share that educational materials were distributed to children in need across three locations:
• Kathmandu – Budhanilkantha-13: 31 Children
• Kavre – Bhumlu VDC-10: 86 Children
• Parsa – Shankhuwa Prasauni RM-4: 102 Children
Each child received notebooks, pencils, and a school bag to support their learning journey.
The programs were conducted in the presence of School Management Committee members, Rural Municipality Chairperson, and Ward Chairperson, ensuring strong coordination and local support.
The children showed great happiness, and the intervention was warmly received by the schools and communities. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and support the most vulnerable children.
