Society for Empowerment Nepal (STEP-Nepal) is a non-governmental organization established in 2000 AD with the aimed of empowering disadvantaged people in society through dialogue, agreement and joint ventures with relevant line agencies. As per rules and regulation of Government of Nepal, it is registered with the district Administration Office, Lalitpur district (Regd. #1176) and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (Aff. #11093/2000). The main goal of this organization is to assist in creating a just an equitable society. STEP-Nepal is also associated with the NGO Federation/NGO Coordination Committee, Safe Motherhood Network, active member of Reproductive Health Coordination Committee of Lalitpur district and National NGOs Network Group Against AIDS - Nepal (NANGAN).
