We are pleased to share that a 3-day Basic Parenting Education Training was successfully completed in Bheri Municipality, Jajarkot.

Organized by the Education, Youth and Sports Section of Bheri Municipality, the training aimed to strengthen the capacity of facilitators to effectively deliver Parenting Education sessions in their communities. The initiative will support parents and caregivers in promoting the holistic development of children from conception to eight years of age.

Investing in parents is investing in children's future. Through Parenting Education, we can strengthen responsive caregiving, positive parenting practices, and nurturing environments that help every child thrive. 💚

Strengthening Parenting for better Early Childhood Development!

We are pleased to share that a 5-day Basic Parenting Education training was successfully conducted in Mahabu Rural Municipality, Dailekh, with the participation of teachers and focal persons who will facilitate Parenting Education sessions in their respective communities.

Organized by the Education, Youth and Sports Section of Mahabu Rural Municipality, the training was technically facilitated by Seto Gurans National Child Development Services, District Seto Gurans Dailekh with support from UNICEF Nepal. Following the training, Parenting Education sessions will be conducted for pregnant women, newly married couples, and parents/caregivers of children from conception to eight years of age across 14 communities. This initiative is expected to strengthen positive parenting practices and contribute to the holistic development of young children during their most critical years of growth and learning.

We appreciate the commitment of Mahabu Rural Municipality towards investing in parents and young children for a brighter future.

We are pleased to share that the 8-day Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS) Training has been successfully concluded in Aiselukharka Rural Municipality, Khotang.

Organized by Aiselukharka Rural Municipality, with support from Eco Himal Nepal and technical support from Seto Gurans National Child Development Services, the training strengthened the knowledge and skills of ECED teachers in implementing child-centered, play-based, and developmentally appropriate learning approaches.

The training is expected to contribute to improving the quality of early childhood education and promoting holistic development and school readiness among young children.

We are delighted to share that the resource book "Father's Role in Early Childhood Development (ECD) – Facilitation Manual" has been officially published on the website of the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education and Sports, Center For Education And Human Resources Development.

This important resource was jointly developed by the Center For Education And Human Resources Development and the Family Welfare Division, Department of Health Services, with technical support from Plan International Nepal and Seto Gurans NCDS: सेतो गुराँस राष्ट्रिय बाल विकास सेवा.

This Facilitation Manual serves as a supplementary resource to the National Parenting Education Package -- particularly supporting Part I, Topic #4: Father's Role in ECD -- which was developed by CEHRD with technical support from UNICEF Nepal and Seto Gurans National Child Development Services.

The publication recognizes the critical role fathers play in nurturing, caring for, protecting, and supporting the holistic development of young children. By promoting positive father engagement from the earliest years, the manual contributes to strengthening parenting practices and improving developmental outcomes for children.

We are pleased to share that a joint monitoring visit under the project "ECD Harmony: Building Bright Beginnings in Ramechhap and Solukhumbu" was successfully conducted in Manthali Municipality, Ramechhap. Representatives from the Center For Education And Human Resources Development, Education Review Office (ERO), Childaid Network Foundation Nepal, and Seto Gurans National Child Development Services (ECD experts, executive board members including staff members) jointly observed project activities, interacted with local government representatives, visited schools, and reviewed ongoing efforts to strengthen quality early childhood and primary education.

The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on progress, share insights, and further strengthen collaboration for improving learning outcomes for young children. 🌱👶
