🌸 It starts with a conversation. It grows with support.

25 School Nurses, Focal Teachers, and stakeholders came together in Nuwakot for a training on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) and demand-generation activities. 🩷

Through discussions on MHM Corners, menstrual hygiene, safety, and quality facilities, participants explored ways to create more supportive school environments for students. πŸ«πŸ’¬

The training strengthened the capacity of School Nurses and Focal Teachers to lead MHM activities in their schools, while also strengthening coordination and commitment among local stakeholders. 🀝

✨ Because supportive schools help students learn with comfort, confidence, and dignity.

From August 1–7, 2026, World Breastfeeding Week was marked across Humla through community-level awareness activities in coordination with SIDC Humla and Simkot, Sarkegad, and Chankheli Rural Municipalities.

Mothers, families, health workers, Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHV), local representatives, and community members came together to talk about the importance of early initiation of breastfeeding, exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months, and continued breastfeeding alongside appropriate complementary feeding after six months.

With 267 participants, the week became an opportunity to share information, discuss challenges, and explore how families, communities, and health services can better support breastfeeding mothers. πŸ’™

🀱 The week may be coming to an end, but the journey of supporting breastfeeding continues.

For many mothers, breastfeeding is filled with moments of love, care, patience, and sometimes challenges. Behind every breastfeeding journey is a mother who deserves encouragement, understanding, and support. πŸ’™

As Breastfeeding Week comes to a close, let’s carry its message beyond these few dayscontinuing to support mothers, promote healthy breastfeeding practices, and help every child get a healthy start in life.

Because breastfeeding support is not just a week-long commitment. It is something we can continue every day. ✨
