Under the theme "๐–๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ซ, ๐‚๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐ž, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐“๐ž๐œ๐ก๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒโ€”๐“๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก ๐š ๐†๐ž๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ ๐‹๐ž๐ง๐ฌ," ICGT 2027 will bring together researchers, innovators, policymakers, practitioners, development partners, and communities to reimagine inclusive solutions for a changing world.

Hosted by UNESCO Chair in Mountain Cryosphere and Water, Organized by The Small Earth Nepal (SEN) and UNESCO, in academic collaboration with Tribhuvan University and Kathmandu University, the conference aims to provide a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and action at the intersection of gender, climate resilience, water, and technology.

On 4 June, as part of CLASSIK project, SEN organized a capacity building training to 30 Badhgar participants, from Geruwa Rural Municipality on using smartphones for flood marks data collection. During the session, Badhgars with smartphones learned to collect field data, marking an important step toward community-led monitoring and evidence generation through a citizen science approach.

This initiative represents systematic ground-level data collection engaging Badhghars as local citizen scientists. The data will be used to strengthen the validation of flood extent and depth assessments in future analyses and planning purposes in the project.
