🌱 Celebrating World Environment Day 2024 with a Tree Planting Ceremony 🌱

As the organizers of today's tree planting ceremony at the Bagmati Corridor, a crucial basin area, we proudly embrace the theme of 'Land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience' under the slogan 'Our land. Our future. We are '. In the face of rapid urbanization and increasing population density, this initiative to increase urban green space represents a perfect, simple, and effective nature-based solution to tackle climate change.

By planting trees in our urban areas, we are not only beautifying our city but also reducing urban pollution, improving air quality, supporting biodiversity, and fostering a healthier environment for future generations.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward-2, Sagarmatha Engineering College, and the Division Forest Office, Lalitpur for facilitating this event. Special thanks to Niranjan Shrestha, environment expert and chairperson of Sagarmatha Engineering College, for honoring us as the chief guest of this event.
