Reminiscing the wonderful space created by and at the 4th Asia Pacific Feminist Forum through our event on “Indigenous Sisters: Remembering Together to Resist Together” on September 14, 2024.
WE-WIN Vice-Chair, .mugum, Nina Sangma, International Land Coalition, Pirawan Wongnithisathaporn, AIPP, Sushmita Lama, AIPP and Jacinta Kerketta, Poet and Writer shared the space as panelists. More that just a side event, it was a space for collective healing, sharing stories of growing up as Indigenous Women, stories of struggle in wading through systemic and structural barriers, and immense hope through sharing and creating memories.
Together with panelists and attendees, a new memory was created which will be cherished and adds to our commitment in working towards a society where our relatives can embrace, express and exercise rights as our authentic Indigenous selves.
