On 31 July 2025, Hope for Children – Chaurjahari Community Development Project handed over two newly built safe houses to visually impaired Sasiram Pariyar of Ward 4 and Rabina Kumal, a poor woman from Ward 3 in Chaurjahari Municipality, Rukum West. The goal was to support earthquake-affected and marginalized families with safe and secure housing.

The program was attended by Mayor Pushpa Badi as Chief Guest and Rev. Fr. Surya G. M. as Chairperson, along with ward leaders, school principals, teachers, journalists, and community members. Over 80 people participated in the event, which included welcome speeches, ribbon-cutting, and symbolic house key handovers.

Speakers expressed gratitude to Hope for Children and encouraged continued collaboration for community upliftment. The event concluded with group photos, refreshments, and lunch. The handover brought new hope and dignity to the families and highlighted the power of working together for a better future.

Hope for Children Attariya organized a successful community cleanliness program with 100+ participants including local leaders & officials. The team cleared blocked drains, distributed 6 dustbins, and educated residents on waste management. Social Welfare Officer Mr. Gyandra Bhatt praised HFC as "among top 5 INGOs in Godawari" for this unprecedented initiative. The transformed community now enjoys cleaner surroundings and better sanitation. And promised to keep the area clean by the community.

"HFC Pokhara Empowers Girls with Menstrual Health Awareness"

On March 14, 2025, HFC Pokhara organized a health awareness program for 60 adolescent girls at Shiva Tole Hall to demystify menstruation and promote hygiene. Led by nurse Nirmaya Thapa, the interactive session covered menstrual health, debunked myths, and taught proper hygiene practices. Attendees received hygiene kits containing sanitary pads and toiletries. Participants like Ayesha Shrestha (12) shared, "I’m no longer scared of periods." The program boosted girls' confidence, clarified misconceptions, and strengthened community trust. HFC plans follow-up sessions and school collaborations to sustain impact.

Awareness Session on Domestic Violence Held in Birtamod

On 21 March 2025, Hope for Children (HFC) Birtamod organized an awareness program on domestic violence at Jalakanya Temple, attended by 52 participants, including local leaders and health workers. Topics covered included types of violence, legal rights, and reporting mechanisms. Guest speaker Mrs. Gita Sharma Regmi urged victims to seek justice without fear. Attendees, like Yamuna Ghimire, expressed gratitude for the empowerment gained. The session concluded with snacks and a commitment to support survivors. HFC aims to educate communities and combat domestic violence through such initiatives.

On March 4, 2025, the Hope for Children Birtamod Project successfully organized a "One Day Self-Defense Program" for Child Parliament members to equip them with essential skills for personal safety and self-protection. The training aimed to empower students by teaching them basic self-defense techniques and boosting their confidence in handling challenging situations. The program was held on the premises of Anarmani Primary School, Birtamod Municipality, Ward No. 4. Nearly a hundred Child Parliament members actively participated in the session, demonstrating great enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.

Mr. Pratik Rai, a Karate Trainer from Kankai Dojo, conducted the session, covering the following topics:
1. Awareness and Prevention: Recognizing danger and avoiding risky situations.
2. Basic Self-Defense Techniques: Simple and effective moves to escape from attackers.
3. Use of Everyday Objects for Defense: Learning how to use common items like bags, keys, and mobile phones for self-protection.
4. Physical Drills and Practice: Hands-on training where students practiced various defense moves under the guidance of the trainer.

One of the participants, Ayush Gurung, shared, "This training made me feel more confident about my safety. I now know how to react in difficult situations."
Another participant, Roshni Chaudhary, happily stated, "I never thought about self-defense before, but now I understand how important it is to be aware and prepared."

On 25th February 2025, an awareness-building session was conducted in Balkhu Slum area to educate pregnant women and young mothers on institutional delivery and the importance of breastfeeding. The session was facilitated by a representative from the Local Health Post Ms. Seema Pun, focusing on key aspects of maternal and infant health from marriage to pregnancy and delivery. There were 50 participants. Participants actively engaged asking questions about pregnancy, delivery, and infant care. They also shared personal experiences, making the session more interactive and relatable.

On 24th February 2025 dignitaries from Kohalpur Municipality Social Development Department, Kohalpur Municipality Education Department, Kohalpur Municipality NGOs & INGOs Coordination Department, Chairman from Ward No.13 Kohalpur Municipality, and Mission Today News visited the working areas of Hope for Children and carried out on site monitoring and had review meeting.
The feedbacks from the various departments were encouraging and motivating factor for Hope for Children to continue the noble service for the backward community.

Kohalpur Hope for Children conducted a waste removal program in collaboration with the Kohalpur Municipal Police Force and Shree Nepal National Basic School Chatar. Facilitated by Ward Office No. 10, and the Chatar Community Development Organization.

The objective of the cleanliness program was to create awareness in the midst of the community to continue the cleaning and keep the community clean and tidy.

On 19 February 2025 Hope for Children Pokhara held First Aid Training Program where 58 people were there.

The main aim of the training was to give knowledge about life-saving skills and emergency response techniques.

The training was given by Program Officer from Nepal Red Cross Society Gandaki Province Miss. Sheresha Dhakal. The topic covered were basic first aid techniques, CPR, fractures and injuries, wound care, bandaging, emergency response process etc.

Miss. Sheresha Dhakal taught through visual presentation and videos. She gave live practical for first aid procedures where participants actively participated.

The best outcome of the day was that participants gained knowledge about how one should response on emergency situation and what precaution should be taken before taking the victim or patient to hospitalized. The interactive session and demonstration helped participants to understand clearly about life saving techniques.
