UWC Nepal UWC Nepal is a registered NGO and one of the 145 UWC national committees around the world that select It got registered in the year 2002.

UWC schools, colleges and programmes deliver a challenging and transformative education experience to a diverse cross section of students, inspiring them to create a more peaceful and sustainable future. UWC has 15 schools and colleges around the world all with distinctive characters but sharing the same mission, ethos and values. Each year the UWC national committee of Nepal selects students from

Nepal to send to the United World Colleges on full and partial scholarships. UWC National Committee of Nepal is one of 145 national committees around the world. The national committee is composed largely of UWC graduates. The committee also includes the parents of the students, educationists, community leaders and other interested supporters of UWCs. The committee also raises funds to supplement the scholarships and conduct other UWC outreach programs such as UWC Short Courses. The history of the committee in Nepal goes back to the first selection that happened in 1982 by an informal selection committee. Two students were selected to attend Armand Hammer UWC in the USA. Since then, Nepalese students have attended UWCs on a fairly regular basis. The first official UWC National Committee of Nepal was formed in 1999. In the summer of 2014, the number of Nepalese graduates will reach around 150.

Hello UWC Nepal Community,

We hope everyone is doing well. We, the class of 28 are pleased to introduce the UWC Nepal hoodie. Available to our entire network of UWC students and Alumni, this initiative by the class of 28’ is an effort to give back towards the UWC Movement. The profits gained from the hoodie will be contributed towards the UWC Nepal Dare to Dream Fund, supporting the future generations of UWC students representing Nepal.

UWC Nepal Annual Gathering 2026

This year, we welcomed 22 future UWC students into a community that extends far beyond any campus. Together with alumni, current students, parents, friends, and supporters, we spent the evening doing what UWC has always done best: sharing stories, exchanging ideas, laughing over good food, and reminding one another why this community continues to feel like home, no matter where life takes us.

To our newest students: you’re not just beginning two years at a UWC. You’re becoming part of a lifelong community that will celebrate your wins, challenge your perspectives, and stand beside you long after graduation.

And to everyone who came, thank you for bringing your stories, your energy, and your belief in what UWC stands for. Communities aren’t built in classrooms alone; they’re built around dinner tables, in conversations that run longer than planned, and in moments like these.

Here’s to the people who make UWC feel like home. Until the next gathering.

UWC Nepal Induction Program 2026

This past weekend, We wrapped up our induction for the 2026 intake. It was really nice meeting both students and parents and spending time together.

We had sessions to understand what UWC is all about, explored its values through simple activities, played games, and shared useful information to help students prepare for their journey ahead.

Students also worked in groups and put together small performances, which made the whole experience even more fun and memorable.
