On Sunday, we visited the Dickyi Tsering Children’s Home together with Mr. Patrice Behra — a place where love, care, and hope gently nurture the lives of nearly 130 orphaned, semi-orphaned, and children from vulnerable family backgrounds.

Among these beautiful children, 45 are currently supported through the Solhimal/Saraswati Sponsorship Program, thanks to the kindness, generosity, and unwavering support of our wonderful godmothers and godfathers.

During the visit, Mr. Patrice and the Saraswati team spent precious time with the children — visiting their rooms and study spaces, listening to their stories, and gaining a deeper understanding of their everyday lives. Beyond the walls of the home, we witnessed innocence, dreams, resilience, and the quiet strength these children carry within them.

One of the most touching moments of the day was sharing lunch together in the dining hall with the children, Mr. Patrice BEHRA, Mrs. Chemila GONSAR, the Saraswati staff, and the DTCH staff. Sitting around the same tables, sharing smiles, conversations, and laughter, reminded us that sometimes the greatest gift we can offer is simply our presence, compassion, and love.

As it is the sacred month of Saga Dawa — a time of offering, forgiveness, love, and compassion — we were grateful to share a delicious vegetarian lunch together in such a warm and meaningful atmosphere.

Our hearts are filled with deep gratitude toward the Solhimal Strasbourg Team, committee members, and all sponsor members who continue to stand beside us in supporting these 45 children. Your generosity helps provide not only education and a safe, nurturing environment at Dickyi Tsering Home, but also the opportunity for these children to grow with dignity, hope, care, and love for a brighter future.

Thank you so much for believing in and trusting our work, and for helping us support these children in a secure and loving environment.

Merci Beaucoup & Tashi Delek 🙏❤️

On Saturday, 23rd May, we visited the Disabled Rehabilitation Centre (DRC) together with Mr. Patrice BEHRA. The centre is a loving home for many semi-orphaned and differently abled children from vulnerable family background providing them with care, support, and hope for a brighter future. By bringing together children from diverse circumstances, DRC promotes inclusion, compassion, and shared growth.

As part of the visit, Mr. Patrice BEHRA and the Saraswati team brought fresh fruits and stationery items for the children, sharing moments of joy, care, and encouragement with them.

SOLHIMAL/SARASWATI currently supports 5 children at the DRC, and we are delighted to share that a new valued godparents has been found for another young girl, bringing the total number of supported children to 6 out of 30 children in DRC. A heartfelt thank you to Danielle FICHT for helping us find new sponsor and thank you to the wonderful godmothers and godfathers for supporting these 6 children.

During the visit, Mr. Patrice and the Saraswati team spent time visiting the children’s rooms and understanding their living conditions more closely. It was a meaningful opportunity to listen, observe, and better understand their daily lives and needs.

What truly touched our hearts was the incredible spirit and talent of these children. Some expressed themselves beautifully through drawing and art, while others proudly shared their achievements in sports, showing their medals with joy and confidence. Despite the challenges they face, their courage, determination, and bright smiles continue to inspire everyone around them.
It was a beautiful, emotional, and meaningful day filled with love, learning, and hope. Moments like these remind us that kindness, care, and support can make a real difference in the lives of these amazing children.

Special thanks to Mr. Patrice, Solhimal team and committee members. Together, let us continue spreading compassion, hope, and opportunities for a brighter tomorrow. ♥️

At the Saraswati office, we had the pleasure of arranging a truly heartfelt first meeting between godmother Rozenn RAMETTE - not only our cherished sponsor member but also a committed committee member of Solhimal France—and her goddaughter, Mingmar Lhamo Gurung.

Mingmar, only 9 years old and from the remote and beautiful region of Upper Dolpo, has now been given the precious opportunity of sponsorship—opening doors to her education, growth, and a brighter future. This connection is more than support. Thanks to Rozenn♥️

Rozenn arrived not only with generosity in her heart, but also with carefully chosen gifts—clothes, stationery, and playful games that brought joy and comfort to Mingmar on this special day.

We are deeply grateful to Rozenn for her unwavering support and dedication to Solhimal and Saraswati, and for making a lasting difference in the lives of children in Nepal. We hope to welcome her again very soon.

Merci beaucoup 🙏

Happy Buddha Purnima 2026 🌕

Today we honor the sacred day that marks the birth, enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana (passing) of Lord Buddha—a day that beautifully symbolizes wisdom, compassion, and inner peace.

Buddha’s teachings remind us of the power of love, kindness, and mindful living. His path encourages us to seek balance, practice non-violence, and find peace within ourselves before looking for it in the world around us.

On this auspicious full moon day, buddhists around the world visit temples, meditate, offer prayers, and perform acts of kindness—spreading light and positivity wherever they go.
Let us take a moment to reflect and embrace:

➡️Compassion for all living beings
➡️Inner peace through mindfulness
➡️Right actions guided by truth and wisdom

May this Buddha Purnima inspire us all to walk a path of harmony and create a more peaceful and compassionate world.🕊️
Wishing everyone a blessed and serene Buddha Purnima!

On 15th April, we had the pleasure of accompanying our Sohimal first group in a meaningful visit to Solhimal/Saraswati partner schools.

We began our day at Srongtsen School, where our valued sponsor members were introduced to the school and given a tour around the campus, offering them a closer look at the learning environment and daily life of students.

Following this, we visited our second partner school, Manasarovar Academy. A heartwarming highlight of the day was when Godmother Marie-Pierre BRESSON met her goddaughter, Tenzin Nangsa- a beautiful moment for both.

The students of Manasarovar Academy also prepared a delightful group dance, and to everyone’s joy, our sponsor members joined in, making it lively and memorable experience. We then shared a lovely lunch together organised by the school.

It was truly a memorable day, filled with connection and shared moments that will be cherished by all.♥️💐

It was our pleasure to welcome the second group from Solhimal France to our office.

Led by Patrice BEHRA, the president of Solhimal, the group included five valued sponsor members and two potential members. It was such a joy to see Patrice again after a year, and some godmothers who have visited Nepal before, while also warmly welcoming new members into our Solhimal/Saraswati family.

During the visit, Chemila GONSAR also shared insights about the organization and the work we do. Some sponsor members had the beautiful opportunity to meet their godchildren, while others will be visiting them in the coming days at our partner schools.

A big thank you for the thoughtful stationery items for the schools and we also received the parcels sent all the way from France for the godchildren which we’ll be handing them over very soon.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our wonderful sponsor members for your ongoing support for the children of Nepal. Hope you enjoy the pictures 😊

Our Saraswati team accompanied the Solhimal Group on a visit to the Tibetan Sorig Medicinal School and had the chance to consult with an Amchi (doctor). It was a simple but enriching experience for everyone.

One of the most special moments of the day was when godmother Clarisse Schmidt met her goddaughter, Nyima Dolma, from a remote village in Solukhumbu, near to Mount Everest, the youngest student at the medicinal school. It was a truly warm and genuine moment.

At the Sorig Tibetan Medicinal School, from our 25 sponsored students of Solhimal, 20 are girls coming from very remote areas. This reflects the real impact of sponsorship—when given the opportunity, our girls can access education, continue their studies, and build a better future.

We then visited Bonpo Monastery, a place dedicated to preserving Bon culture and traditional Tibetan/Himalayan medicine. Overall, it was a meaningful and memorable day, filled with cultural discovery and shared experience.
