Bharatpur - Strength in Numbers (Parent Support)
You Are Not Alone. ❤️
The journey through childhood cancer is tough, but no family should walk it alone. In Bharatpur, our ICCD celebrations featured a moving Parent Support Group session and a day of joy for our brave children on 14th February.
Survivors and families currently in treatment came together to share stories, challenges, and hope. To brighten the day, World Child Cancer and Ramesh Gupta Memorial Trust distributed toys and study materials to our little warriors and BPKMCH. These smiles remind us why we do what we do.

Bharatpur - Empowering Our Community Heroes (FCHV)
Early diagnosis starts in the community! As part of our 3-day ICCD program in Bharatpur, B.P. Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital hosted a specialized training for Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) on 13th February.
In coordination with Bharatpur Metropolitan City, 60 local heroes are being equipped to recognize early symptoms of childhood cancer. When our volunteers know what to look for at the community level, families get the help they need sooner. A huge thank you to our partners, including World Child Cancer, and TACC, for supporting this vital grassroots effort.

Bhaktapur- Turning Hope into Action for International Childhood Cancer Day! 🎗️
On February 12, Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, in partnership with the Government of Nepal and the WHO officially kicked off International Childhood Cancer Day 2026.
We were honored to have the Bagmati Province Health Minister, Mr. Kiran Thapa Magar, join us to emphasize a critical truth: Early detection saves lives. By strengthening our referral systems and data reporting, we are ensuring every child in Nepal has a clear path to timely, quality treatment.
To bring smiles to our little warriors, World Child Cancer and the Ramesh Gupta Memorial Trust distributed toys and study materials directly to the inpatient departments of: Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, Kanti Children’s Hospital and Patan Academy of Health Sciences.
Together, we are transforming pediatric oncology care in Nepal and ensuring no child fights alone.
We highly appreciate the leadership and guidance provided by Dr. Ritu Lamichhane for this event.
