Another season of women from our cooperative 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 — weeding the fields, managing irrigation, mulching, expanding markets, and now bringing in this season's vegetable harvest.
Month by month, women from 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 are settling into a rhythm of their own: their land, their methods, their decisions. The organic and sustainable practices they use aren't just growing better crops — they're strengthening their financial ownership and keeping the soil healthier season after season.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻, 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄, 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 🤝🌱

Our core team members—Program Manager Ram Maharjan , Admin & Finance Manager Puskar Acharya , and Provincial Coordinator Ashish Singh Rajput —recently completed an intensive 3-day training on Harmonized Approach to Cash Transfers (HACT) and UNICEF partnership tools (UNPP, eTools, and PRP).

This session equips Chay Ya Nepal with enhanced tools for operational efficiency, transparent financial management, and seamless partner collaboration with UNICEF and fellow CSOs. Continual learning ensures our programs remain robust, accountable, and impactful for the communities we serve.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝘀𝘂𝘄𝗮 🚛📦

Following our initial distribution, our team reached 𝟮𝟱 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 with essential kitchen sets, providing basic cooking and serving utensils to help them prepare daily meals.

While delivering direct relief is our core focus, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. Sitting directly with grieving families, elderly survivors, mothers, and young children allows us to listen carefully, ensuring our continued support accurately addresses their immediate physical needs and long-term recovery.🤍

We extend our sincere thanks to our field team and partners for overcoming damaged roads and harsh weather to reach these communities 🚚🌧️.

We remain steadfast in supporting the communities through every phase.

𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗮𝘀𝘂𝘄𝗮: 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗢𝗱𝗱𝘀

Despite severely damaged roads, challenging monsoon conditions and difficult access, 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝟳𝟱 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝗥𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗥𝗮𝘀𝘂𝘄𝗮.

As part of our ongoing flood response, 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗬𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘀 to affected families, including cooking sets, plates, glasses, bowls and steel water mugs.
Reaching the community was far from easy. A journey that would normally take around 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝟭𝟮 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 due to damaged roads and difficult travel conditions. Through extensive coordination and determination, our team continued the journey and successfully completed the distribution.

Beyond delivering relief, our team is also 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲.

𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝘀𝘂𝘄𝗮 – 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀 🚨🌧️

Following the emergency aid distributions in Bidur (Nuwakot) and Gajuri (Dhading), our team from Chay Ya is heading straight on to the hard-hit, remote regions of Rasuwa.
Whilst much of the relief aid is reaching the more accessible centres, remote mountain villages remain cut off from the outside world. Families here who have lost their homes and livelihoods to the floods are still urgently awaiting help. The damaged roads pose a major challenge. Furthermore, the necessary access permits are not always being granted reliably at present.

We are working flat out to assess the situation on the ground in detail and to identify the specific needs of the affected communities. Only in this way can we prepare targeted distributions and deliver our aid parcels as efficiently as possible to where they are most urgently needed. Because for the people there, every hour counts.

🚨 𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗙: 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 🚛📦

From loading trucks at our base to pushing through difficult road conditions and unexpected delays, our team stayed focused on one objective: getting essential relief into the hands of families as safely and quickly as possible.

This initial shipment was critical, but it is just the beginning. Here is what was delivered:

• 𝗚𝗮𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗶 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽: 29 families provided with relief supplies, with our team helping construct temporary emergency shelters and toilets. 📍Dhading

• 𝗕𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗿 Municipality: Direct distribution of food, tarpaulins, and survival essentials to 200 families. 📍Nuwakot

Every kilometer driven and every package loaded moves us forward, but the scale of need remains high. We are already preparing for the next phases to reach even more communities in need.
