Hearing directly from the students makes every conversation and effort even more meaningful.

Avi and Sipjan from Shree Tomandanda Secondary School share their experience of participating in sessions led by Youth Champions and Local Coordinators under the Empower Chepang Girls Initiative. From engaging in interactive discussions to taking part in activities at the Period Corner, their reflections remind us how important safe, engaging, and informative spaces are for young people.

Through conversations, games, and shared learning, we continue working towards breaking stigma and creating communities where young people feel informed, heard, and supported.

As part of the Empowered Chepang Girls Initiative project, our team recently conducted monitoring visits to school sessions facilitated by the Local Coordinators and Youth Champions in Shree Praja Basti Basic School (Ward 1), Bijaya Bhawani Secondary School (Ward 2), Shree Tomandanda Secondary School (Ward 6), and Shree Shiva Basic School (Ward 7) of Gorkha District.

The local coordinator and the youth champions facilitated school session on topics such as SRHR, menstruation, family planning, safe abortion, and child marriage. Alongside the monitoring visits, Period Corners were established in each school to promote menstrual hygiene management through informative zines, display of menstrual products, and engaging activities like quiz contests, creating a fun and interactive learning environment for students.

Still thinking about last month’s EchoVerse!

We took a deep dive into the world of AI and how it’s subtly (and not so subtly) reshaping our reality. From the way we create to the way we perceive the world around us, the conversation was eye-opening.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined the circle and shared their perspective. If you missed this one, don't worry, the next EchoVerse is just around the corner and we can't wait to see you there!

Who’s ready for the next one?

EchoVerse is Back!
My Mind, My Feed: Digital Space and Mental Health

Let’s talk about something we all feel but rarely say out loud. The internet can be a home—a place where we find our community and our voice. But sometimes, you close an app and feel emptier than when you opened it.

From doomscrolling and comparison culture to the quiet loneliness of being constantly connected, our digital lives deeply shape how we think, feel, and see ourselves. This EchoVerse, we’re exploring what it really means to feel safe online and how to navigate the relationship between our screens and our mental health.

Date: May 22, 2026, Friday

Two powerful days of conversations, learning, and collective action at the First National Conclave of Young Human Rights Defenders.

At the conclave, Visible Impact led a session on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) as a bridge between Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and human rights, highlighting the importance of informed, rights-based approaches for young people.

Visible Impact also moderated a collaborative session to develop a collective declaration by young human rights defenders, which was handed over to Rubi Kumari Thakur.

Grateful to everyone who joined, shared, listened, and contributed to making this space inspiring and impactful. The conversations started here will continue far beyond these two days.
