Bring Thoughts to Action is a nonprofit organization (NPO) which unites foreign and Nepalese volunteers to work on sustainable development and economic fairness of the Nepalese society. Founded shortly after the earthquake(25th of April 2015) our initial mission was to give urgent relief to earthquake victims and to build bamboo houses to protect them from Monsoon. Our main objectives after the ho
ur of crisis are empowering communities by supporting investment in different projects to create self-esteemed and self-determined societies. Cooperating with different international and Nepalese Organizations we are working on short-term objectives like urgent disaster relief and psychological first aid as well as long-term objectives to empower local people to make their village life more sustainable while utilizing the local resources and skills. So far BTTA has been working in more than 9 districts of Nepal: Kathmandu, Nuwakot, Sindupalchowk, Bhaktapur, Ramechap, Rasuwa, Lalitpur, Okhaldhungha, Dolakha, Dhading, Gorkha. Funding will allow us to help the communities to minimize the effects of earthquake in their livelihood. By using the local available resources and skills and involving the Nepalese actively in our projects, we are planning to build cost effective semi-permanent eco homes and also help the communities to create awareness on the possibilities of natural disasters occurring and how to deal with pre and post disasters challenges. Upcoming projects will include tailoring, recycling of waste, animal husbandry, agriculture, health education, women and youth empowerment and psychological and trauma counseling to transform peoples life has and make lasting changes. Our short-term objectives:
