CNI and CNIYEF delegations led by President Mr. Birendra Raj Pandey paid a courtesy call today at Singhadurbar on the newly appointed Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Hon’ble Mr. Anil Sinha; Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Hon’ble Mr. Kulman Ghising; and Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Hon’ble Mr. Jagadish Kharel.

CNI reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the Government of Nepal to advance the nation’s prosperity, with President Pandey stressing the need for business-friendly policies to uplift private sector confidence. The Hon’ble Ministers, in turn, assured that the government is committed to creating a favorable investment climate through necessary policy reforms.

CNI and CNIYEF reiterated their dedication to driving innovation, strengthening entrepreneurship, and contributing to Nepal’s economic transformation.

Yesterday, CNIYEF members had the privilege of engaging in a special learning session with Mr. Raj Bahadur Shah, Managing Director of Jawalakhel Group of Industries and Vice President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI).

A visionary leader and part of one of Nepal’s largest tax-paying families, Mr. Shah has made remarkable contributions not only to the business sector but also to the community.

Mr. Shah shared his journey of building and leading some of Nepal’s most successful enterprises, his perspectives on leadership, and the importance of innovation, resilience, and strategic thinking in business.

The highlight of the visit was a rare glimpse into Nepal’s most extensive vintage car collection, housed at his beautiful residence, where history meets passion and craftsmanship. It was an unforgettable blend of business wisdom, cultural appreciation, and personal inspiration.

Abinash is a young, impact-driven entrepreneur with leadership roles spanning agriculture, microfinance, and investment. He is the Founder & CEO of Merokishan Limited, Nepal’s largest agri-tech company, where he has transformed agricultural supply chains, built cold chain infrastructure, and empowered thousands of farmers with sustainable practices and improved market access.

Beyond agriculture, Abinash serves as a Director at ASHA Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd, promoting financial inclusion for rural women and marginalized communities, and at Crown Capital, where he drives venture funding for agri-tech and green startups aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Currently pursuing a Master’s in Economics, he combines strategic vision with grassroots impact to advance Nepal’s agricultural and financial ecosystems.
