Access to resources remains a major challenge for marginalized communities in the Tarai, often compounded by limited awareness of financial literacy. To address this, we conducted a simple yet practical session focusing on basic financial tools—helping participants understand their income, track expenditures, and manage savings more effectively.
The session also encouraged community members to identify and strengthen their existing income-generating activities, supporting them to make more informed financial decisions and improve their livelihoods.
Small steps in financial awareness can lead to meaningful change. 💡

🗣️ Amplifying Voices from the Community
As part of the local level planning process, we are supporting local governments to ensure that the voices of marginalized communities are heard and included.
In the third step of this initiative, we are organizing community consultation programs to identify and document the real problems faced by people at the grassroots level. This is a crucial opportunity for communities—especially those often unheard—to share their concerns, needs, and priorities.
The collected voices will be formally submitted to the ward offices and municipality, contributing directly to inclusive and participatory local planning.
👉 Because planning should reflect everyone’s reality—not just a few.
