In Okhaldhunga, our little library is creating a welcoming space where children can explore new books, learn, imagine, and develop a love for reading. Every book opens a new window of curiosity and gives children the opportunity to discover something beyond their everyday surroundings.

🌱 Learning, Creating & Playing Together at Kalikasaran School
On 12 August 2026, our team — Minsara, Sara, Samir, and Lawrence — spent a meaningful day with the students of Kalikasaran School through a mix of learning, creativity, and fun! 💛

From colouring activities and language lessons to energetic games, stretching, and Red Light, Green Light, the students had the chance to learn, express themselves, stay active, and enjoy time together. 📚🎨🏃‍♀️

We also worked with the students on WH-questions, sentences, verbs, and nouns, making learning interactive and engaging through simple examples and activities.

It was wonderful to see the students participate with such enthusiasm and curiosity. Moments like these remind us that learning can be joyful, active, and shared. 🌍✨

From sharing skills and experiences to connecting with local communities, every moment of their time in Nepal has been a meaningful part of their journey — and ours too. 🌍✨

Today, we celebrate the energy, creativity, courage, and dreams of young people around the world. Young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow—they are voices, changemakers, and leaders of today. When given the right opportunities, support, and space to be heard, they have the power to create meaningful change in their communities.

At Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN), we believe in creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, build confidence, and take an active role in their communities. Through our Youth Empowerment Program, we work alongside young people to strengthen their skills, encourage creativity, and help them recognize their own potential. 🌱✨

Today is a reminder that every young person deserves to be heard, valued, supported, and given the opportunity to dream. Let’s continue creating spaces where young voices are respected and where their ideas can become meaningful action.

Supporting Young Learners, One Bag at a Time! 💙

At Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN), we believe that access to essential educational materials can make a meaningful difference in a child’s learning journey. Recently, we organized a School Bag Distribution Program to support students and bring together schools, local representatives, volunteers, and the wider community.

A very special thank you to Francesca our former ESC volunteers, for her generous contribution of 251 school bags for students in our community. Your kindness and continued connection with VIN have helped provide children with something practical and meaningful to support their everyday learning. 🎒📚❤️

We were happy to welcome students, along with school principals, teachers, and local government representatives. For students who were unable to attend, school representatives collected the bags on their behalf so they could receive them at their schools.

We are truly grateful to everyone who helped make this initiative possible. Francesca and Manisha Rai, thank you for turning your care for the community into an action that makes a difference.

Together, small acts of kindness can create meaningful opportunities and help children move forward with confidence. ❤️
