Center for Children with Intellectual Disabilities is a Volunteer Society Nepal run non-formal day care school for the intellectually disabled children. Ms.

Center for Children with Intellectual Disabilities (CCID), which is located at New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal is a non-profit, non-religious, non-governmental and non-formal school (organization) catering for the intellectually disabled children irrespective of race & religion. This Centre is run under management and financial support of Volunteer Society Nepal (VSN). A part of the expenditure of this Centre is also supported by Chautara VZW (an organisation in Belgium) and occasionally by the VSN volunteers, national & international donors and well-wishers. This centre is registered with Nepal Government as “बौद्धिक अपाङ स्कूल”. Meena KC is involved with this Centre as a founder member and manager since its establishment. Currently 15 children (8 yrs and above) who are intellectually handicapped are participating in different activity classes from 10:00am to 3:00pm, Sunday thru Friday. http://volunteersocietynepal.org/our-projects/disability-center/

Honouring the Martyrs of the Gen Z Movement 🕊️

On this Gen Z Martyrs' Day, CCID stands in solidarity with the nation to remember and honour the young lives lost during the historic Gen Z movement.
They took to the streets not for themselves, but for a Nepal free of corruption, nepotism, and injustice ,a Nepal where every citizen's voice matters. Their courage brought about change that will shape our country's future for generations to come.
We at CCID pay our deepest respects to the martyrs and extend our heartfelt condolences to their families. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
The truest tribute to them is a Nepal built on transparency, accountability, and equal opportunity for all , a responsibility we must carry forward together.

Today we had the joy of welcoming Grade 8 students from Career Building International Academy (CBIA) to CCID🫶🏻.
It was a day full of laughter, games, and genuine connection as they played alongside our students.What made it even more special was their contribution,sharing ideas, joining activities, and adding their own spark to the experience. Moments like these remind us how powerful learning and friendship can be when schools come together.💓

Asar 15, known as Dahi Chiura Khane Din, carries deep cultural and agricultural significance in Nepal.🇳🇵 It marks the peak of rice planting season, when farmers work together in the fields, singing Asare geet and honoring the land that sustains them. 💞🌹

This year, the CCID family embraced the spirit of Asar 15 by gathering to share plates of dahi chiura with mangoes and vegetables, celebrating heritage through food and fellowship.😊💖 Students enjoyed every bite, their laughter and stories filling the day with warmth and joy🌼. In honoring farmers and culture, the CCID family strengthened its sense of togetherness, turning tradition into a living celebration of pride and inclusion.🫶🏻🫶🏻
