Green Loop Pokhara, a project under the YCSA Grant and supported by AYON and the British Council, has successfully completed a two-day “Best Out of Waste” hands-on training workshop focusing on local women from Ward 14, Pokhara.
The workshop emphasized skill development, creativity, and women empowerment, enabling participants to transform plastic, fabric, and paper waste into useful and marketable products. 'Children Together With Youth' Voices Lightning Up a Marginalized Community

Our Grantee Project Climate through Children’s eyes brought the students’ creativity into the marginalized community of Pokhara-15, Patneri (Tuntunga Area) . We did short interaction and awareness campaign that became a meaningful place where children and youth showcased the climate comics they created with their own ideas, stories and experiences.

This activity not only raised awareness but also highlighted the growing role of young people in climate action. Their voice and , creativity inspired the marginalized community to think about their own responsibilities and the small steps they can take to protect their environment.

In every community, food practices is one of the important components of a festival. So is yomari for Newar community. On the day of Yomari Punhi (योमरी पुन्ही), Newari people gather with their family, play folk music and strengthen social bonding. Yomari is a confection that is best when served steaming hot.
