Red-Light Area Engagement: A Door of Hope Following last year’s SAWO- Orphan Sunday outreach in Pune’s red-light district, an intentional engagement with women and children in these vulnerable spaces.
In January, we hosted our first collaborative stakeholders meeting, bringing together 31 participants—NGO leaders and government representatives. This unity reflects the truth of Ecclesiastes 4:9: “Two are better than one… because they have a good return for their labor.”
From this gathering:
A Core Team was formed
The urgent need for Trauma Awareness was identified,
Hence we conducted a Trauma Awareness Workshop within the red-light area, led by our South Asia Master Trainer.
Impact:
Frontline workers are now better equipped to respond with compassion and understanding
Seeds of healing are being sown among women and children living in trauma.
A growing movement of collaboration is taking shape in Pune. India.
