Nepal AOTS Alumni Society We are a non-government and not for profit organization of the ex-trainees of AOTS Japan.

Nepal AOTS Alumni Society (Nepal AOTS) is a non-government and non-profit organization of the ex-trainees of The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS), Japan previously known as The Overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association (HIDA) and Center of International Cooperation for Computerization (CICC), Japan and AOTS / HIDA Alumni from di

fferent countries. Nepal AOTS was formally established in 1991 with the objective of Human Resource Development (HRD) in Management and Technical fields in Nepal through various activities in line with its parent organization, AOTS / HIDA, Japan. Nepal AOTS assists to the private sector of the nation through HRD activities and facilitate their business promotion. So far more than 900 Nepalese have already received training through AOTS / HIDA in Japan and more than 3000 in Nepal itself. Nepal AOTS has its own training center, the Yamamoto Talim Ghar (YTG) at Koteshwor, Kathmandu. Nepal AOTS Vision 2030 has put the focus on the development of human resources in two specific areas: Quality Management, and Information Technology and these are executed through the Nepal AOTS Training Division. Since 1998 Nepal AOTS has expanded its activity in developing Human Resources in Information Technology sector especially with the cooperation of Center of the International Cooperation for Computerization (CICC), Japan, whose objective is to assist the developing countries of Asia in the field of Information Technology. Similarly since the early 1990s, Nepal AOTS has expanded its activity, under World Network of Friendship (WNF), in exchanging the Experts and Trainees within South Asian Federation of AOTS Alumni Society (SAFAAS) countries like Bangladesh, India and Pakistan in Management and Technical fields. Besides sending trainees to SAFAAS countries from Nepal, Nepal AOTS has been regularly organizing different types of management and technical training programs in Kathmandu with the objective of developing human resources, exchanging of information and learning from each other's experience.

Nepal AOTS is pleased to share the successful completion of a one-day training program held on April 30, 2026, on “Safety Practices in Heavy Equipment Workshop and 5S – Japanese Way of Workshop Management.”
The program was conducted in collaboration with MAW Earthmovers Pvt. Ltd.
The event was inaugurated by the President of Nepal AOTS, Mr. Kishore Bhakta Mathema, while the 1st Vice President, Mr. Prajwal Shrestha, served as the Master of Ceremony. The program was also graced by Advisor & Past President Mr. Ramesh Man Singh and General Secretary Mr. Shiv Bhushan Lal.
The training was delivered by Mr. Bidur Khanal, Executive Member of Nepal AOTS, as the Resource Person. Valuable insights and field experiences were also shared by Advisor Nepal AOTS Prof. Dinesh Chapagain and Member Nepal AOTS Mr. Kumar P Khanal and we are thankful to our senior colleagues for their presence and contributions.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Mohan Thapa, HR Head of MAW Earthmovers Pvt. Ltd. Certificates were jointly distributed by the President, 1st Vice President, Resource Person, and HR Head.
The program received highly positive feedback from participants, who appreciated it as a productive and engaging learning experience that enhanced their safety practices and helped to promote best workshop management standards and safety skills.

Nepal AOTS Alumni Society was delighted to welcome Ms. Rika Iyadomi, General Manager, AOTS New Delhi Office, and Mr. Shigenori Kono, Program Coordinator, Trade & Industry Projects Promotion Department, AOTS Japan, to its secretariat, Yamamoto Talim Ghar (YTG), on Saturday, 10 January 2025.
Their visit coincided with the Workshop Program on Developing Reduction Targets for Methane Emissions from Organic Waste in Nepal, facilitated by Love Green Nepal (LGN) with the support of AOTS, Japan under Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan.
During the interaction, the guests were briefed on Nepal AOTS Alumni Society’s activities and its contribution to strengthening Nepal–Japan business and people-to-people ties. Rooted in Japanese values, Nepal AOTS continues to build strong partnerships with development agencies, associations, and public and private sector organizations, delivering impactful collaborative programs jointly and independently.
Ms. Iyadomi and Mr. Kono shared valuable insights and addressed participants’ questions, particularly on the current AOTS initiatives as well as future possibilities in Nepal.
Nepal AOTS Alumni Society wishes our distinguished guests a pleasant stay in Nepal and great success of the current AOTS workshop program in Nepal.

The Workshop on “Strategic Business Planning” was successfully conducted on 14 December 2025 for senior-level professionals from the pharmaceutical industry, in collaboration with APPON. The session was expertly facilitated by the distinguished resource person from Bangladesh, Mr. Md. Mostafa Kamal.

This one-day workshop was organized by the Nepal AOTS Alumni Society, in association with the Bangladesh AOTS Alumni Society (BAAS), with the support of the World Network of Friendship (WNF) under AOTS, Japan, aiming to strengthen strategic thinking and leadership capabilities within the pharma sector.
