The Agri-Insights series of 4H Nepal IAAS Section Lamjung is now entered to season 4 with insightful exploration of " Azolla Cultivation"
This edition explores Azolla, a fast-growing aquatic fern with significant potential in sustainable agriculture. It highlights Azolla’s use as a biofertilizer and nutrient rich feed, its ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen through its symbiotic association with Anabaena, and its potential to improve soil fertility while reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers.
Hence, Azolla cultivation can serve as a promising component of sustainable agriculture by supporting soil health, livestock production, nutrient recycling, and climate-resilient farming systems in Nepal.

On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day 2026, 4-H Nepal IAAS Section successfully organized an Agri-Training on Deciduous Crops at IAAS Lamjung Campus.

The training provided participants with practical knowledge on grafting, pruning, and layering through interactive demonstrations and hands-on learning. It was a valuable opportunity to strengthen technical skills and promote sustainable horticultural practices.

A sincere thank you to our resource person, organizing team, volunteers, and all participants for making this program a success.
