Education for life, Nepal

Education for life, Nepal Help us building up the school library and support education for Nepalese children in Western Nepal.

Education for life
Our vision ;
Improving education through literacy and gender equality. We have established 18 functional school libraries in the Baglung district, of west Nepal, in cooperation with local education authorities since we started in 2013. With the aim to provide a comprehensive selection of text and fiction books, relevant for all ages and genders in both Nepali and English. After

the earthquakes in April and May 2015, we have been involved in several aid projects regarding school rebuilding and providing different school materials. We will continue to support education and school rebuilding in the earthquake affected areas. Our main income comes from selling Nepali wool carpets and donations in Dubai, Australia and Norway. Himala.net is selling products from Nepal, where some of the income goes to EFL. Nelson Mandella; "Education is the most powerful

4 new libraries 🇳🇵❤️Namaste Education for Life and Promis Qualify AS,
Greetings from Nepal!
We are delighted to share that our first project of this year, the book distribution program, has been successfully completed in Kaski and Parbat districts. We decided to distribute books and stationery items to the schools before the students finish their final exams and go on holiday.
Our first visit was to Shree Ram Pyaro Basic School. It is a small school with a small number of students, but they welcomed us very warmly. The teachers and students were very happy to receive different kinds of books. They could not thank Education for Life and Promis Qualify AS enough for the support.
After a long drive, we reached another school, Shree Janapriye Basic School. The teachers, children, and guardians were waiting for us with beautiful garlands. We handed over the books and stationery items to the school and shared a very joyful moment together.
Similarly, we visited Shree Bahawani Basic School, and the next day we went to Shree Devisthan Basic School, which was the last school in our program.
All the teachers and students from the four schools were very pleased to receive the colorful books and stationery items. One of the teachers said that the school felt very lucky to have such beautiful books for their library. The teachers, students, guardians, and the whole community expressed their sincere appreciation for this wonderful support for their schools.
Thank you very much to Education for Life and Promis Qualify AS for your generous contribution and continuous support to our Nepali community. Your kindness is making a meaningful difference in the lives of many children.
With warm regards from Nepal.

Merry Xmas ❤️ 5 new libraries!

Namaste EFL and Promis Qualify Families,
Warm greetings to you.
We are very pleased to share that Phase 4 of the Library Project has been successfully completed. Through this phase, five new libraries have been successfully installed in the western part of Nepal, marking the completion of our projects for this year.
The project journey began early in the morning from Pokhara. After nearly eight hours of travel, our team reached the first school, Shree Nepal Rastiya Tribhuwan Secondary School, Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with red tika and garlands. We then formally handed over the books to the head teacher and the school community.
Following this, we traveled for approximately one hour to reach Shree Ganga Basic School, where the library was also successfully installed. On the following day, we continued our work by visiting Shree Bohara Gaun Basic School, Chandra Baraha Basic School, and Janajibaraj Shushila Basic School, completing the remaining installations. Teachers, students, guardians, and the entire community expressed great happiness and appreciation in receiving these valuable books for their schools.
Throughout the project trip, our team worked diligently to implement planned activities, organize books and learning materials, and ensure that each library was properly set up and ready for use. The journey was truly meaningful, filled with learning, teamwork, and close interaction with local communities and students. Witnessing the excitement and joy on the children’s faces deeply reminded us of the purpose and impact of this project.
This achievement would not have been possible without your generous support, encouragement, and trust. On behalf of the students, teachers, and our entire project team, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our donors.
As we celebrate the successful completion of this phase, we would also like to extend our warm wishes to you for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May the coming year bring you good health, peace, happiness, and continued success. We sincerely hope to continue this meaningful journey together and create even more positive change through education in the future.
Once again, thank you for your invaluable support and kindness.
With sincere gratitude and warm wishes

Namaste EFL and Promis Qualify Family,
Greetings from Nepal!

We are delighted to share that we have successfully completed the installation of our Phase 3 Library Project in five different schools for 2025.

It took us a week to prepare collecting, organizing, and stamping the books.
On the first day, we visited Shree Balkalyan and Mahendra Basic School. Both schools had been eagerly waiting for us. We were warmly welcomed with red tika and garlands, and the principal along with the School Management Committee president expressed their heartfelt gratitude in their speeches. It was truly a wonderful experience to see the happiness on the faces of the children and teachers.

The next day, we started early in the morning and visited Shree Ganesh Secondary School, Shree Shiva Basic School, and Adharbhut Basic School. We handed over the books for their libraries. Shree Shiva Basic School has reopened after 15 years, and they are hopeful that the new library will help attract more students. The teachers and students were overjoyed to receive the books for their schools.

Thank you to EFL and Promis Qualify for providing such wonderful books to the needy schools. Your support helps students dream bigger and work toward a brighter future.

5 new libraries ❤️

Namaste EFL and Promis Qualify Families,
Warm greetings from Nepal!

We are delighted to share the wonderful news that five new libraries have been successfully established in the southern part of Nepal during this monsoon season.

Our journey began early in the morning from Pokhara. Despite the heavy rain and difficult driving conditions, we safely and successfully completed Phase 2 of our library project. After a long drive, we reached our first destination, Shree Secondary School, where we were warmly welcomed with red tika and garlands. We handed over the books to the head teacher and the school community. We continued our journey to Shree Nepal Rastriya Basic School, where we established the second library. Both of these schools previously lacked access to reading materials for children, and the teachers were thrilled to receive such valuable resources.

From there, we visited Shree Diwakar Memorial Secondary School, where we held a small book distribution ceremony. Afterwards, we proceeded to Shree Brahmajyoti School, Distributing books there and witnessing the joy on the children's faces was truly heartwarming. Our final stop was Shree Janakalyan Secondary School, Both teachers and students were incredibly happy to receive various kinds of books for their new library.

All five schools expressed immense gratitude for the variety of books they received. With your generous support, these libraries are now filled with new books that will inspire, educate, and empower children for years to come. The teachers, students, and local communities deeply appreciate your contribution to their education and future.

Thank you, EFL and Promis Qualify AS, for your continued support. Your gift of books has made a meaningful impact on children and communities in these remote areas. It is truly helping to improve the quality of education for many

Warm regards from Nepal

A Little Girl with a Big Heart

Aasha Sapkota is a 7-year-old girl living in the US with her parents and siblings. Her name, Aasha, means hope in Nepali and she has truly lived up to her name. Recently, Aasha became a source of hope for 25 children studying at PeepalDali Basic School in Nepal

After hearing about the Education for Life project from her father, Aasha was deeply touched by the story and wanted to help. At first, she wasn't sure if she could make a difference. But she decided to try raising money to support children who don’t have educational materials and books for library.

Finally, Aasha successfully raised 30,000 Nepali rupees, a remarkable amount, especially for someone so young. With the funds she raised, we were able to purchase essential stationery supplies for 25 students and books for the school’s library. The children received beautiful gifts that will support their learning journey, and the school has more new books for students and teachers.

Aasha's story reminds us that age doesn't define the size of our impact, compassion does. One small girl, with a hopeful heart, inspired change and brought smiles to the faces of many.

Thank you, Aasha, for your incredible and inspiring work in supporting the educational needs of children in remote areas of Nepal. Your kindness and hope have made a lasting difference.

Regards

Meena
