Building Long-Term Value Through FDI

Foreign Direct Investment can contribute to Nepal’s economic growth when it goes beyond capital and supports business development, job creation, skills and productive capacity.

At the NAIMA Mobility Sambaad Learning Session, Mr. Tim Gocher, CEO and Founder of Dolma Impact Fund, emphasized the need for long-term investment rather than money simply “coming in and out.” As he shared, “What we want is longer-term investors who are going to build here,” alongside entrepreneurs willing to take risks in manufacturing and creating products. He also highlighted the importance of investments that create jobs and develop people as part of building long-term value in Nepal.

Through NAIMA Mobility Sambaad, NAIMA continues to facilitate meaningful conversations with industry leaders and experts on issues shaping Nepal’s mobility sector and wider economy.

Ms. Sandhya Sitoula, Executive Director of NAAMII, shared how AI is making data-intensive research more manageable, improving work efficiency, and creating opportunities to focus on innovation, while also highlighting the importance of AI safety and security.

The conversation, moderated by Mr. Alok Khatri, CEO & Co-Founder of Tangible, was part of the learning session “AI and Automotive Technology: Driving the Future of Mobility” at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.
