🎉 Celebrating a Milestone of Service and Fellowship! 🎉

Cheers to RCJ and the Lady President Shova jiu
The meeting was really good with the wonderful essence of 1000 meeting
Lovely to honour the day with all our loving members
Missed Padma lal dai and Sarada
The happiness was somewhat incomplete without them
Thanks goes to our Vibha ji for the ceremonial cake 🎂
We take pride in our members, their families, the Rotary family, and all stakeholders who have supported RCJ since its inception. Over the years, our members have provided impactful leadership within the club, and some have gone beyond to contribute at the Rotary district level, with each member uniquely helping to make RCJ a vibrant and impactful Rotary Club. RCJ is honored to have sponsored other Rotary Clubs in Nepal and Bhutan, extending our spirit of service across borders with the guiding principle: “Service Above Self.”

The meeting was further enriched with inspiring remarks from Charter Member/PDG AKS Rtn. Jaya RL Shah, PDG Rtn. Jitendra Raj Bhandari, and Nepal’s first female Rotarian Rtn. Dr. Suniti Acharya, along with reflections from guests and members who shared their experiences and insights. RCJ proudly celebrates its pioneering achievements, including producing the first female Rotarian District Governor, the first Lady Rotarian of Nepal, the establishment of a Rotary award, and the first visually impaired club president in RI 3292, among many other milestones.💫
On this special day, RCJ had the honor and privilege to induct two new members, Ms.Meena Thapa and Ms.Rosy Shrestha by AG Rtn. Naresh Tuladhar. PP Rtn. Vibha Singh delivered the votes of thanks, and PP Rtn. Manju Karki Lamichhane gracefully conducted the master of ceremony, making the celebration truly memorable.
Let’s promote “Unite for Good” rotary them of RY 2025-2026.

A Call for Peace, Justice, and Solidarity:

Rotary Club of jawalakhel stands in profound grief and solidarity with the nation following the tragic events of September 8, 2025.

We are not merely shocked; we are outraged and heartbroken by the violent response to a peaceful Gen Z demonstration. The excessive and indiscriminate use of force, which claimed the lives of 19 innocent young souls and left over 300 injured, represents a catastrophic failure to protect the very citizens the state is meant to serve. This is not just an incident; it is a profound injustice.

Our prayers are with the families enduring this unbearable loss, and we pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.

As Rotarians, we are taking immediate action partnering with other Rotary Clubs across Kathmandu Valley to organize blood donation camps to address the critical shortage.

As a global humanitarian organization, Rotary International refuses to accept conflict and violence as a way of life. Peace is not an abstract concept; it is a cornerstone of our mission. We believe in creating peace through action and accountability.

993rd Regular Meeting of RCJ:
We had the privilege of attending a Club Officers’ Learning Seminar during the meeting, facilitated by PDG Rtn. Dilendra Raj Shrestha, who shared valuable insights and information on effective club administration.

We were also delighted to welcome a special guest from Australia, Ms. Suzanne Salter, former banker and leadership coach. The President also introduced our new prospective member into the RCJ family, adding to the warmth of the occasion.

The meeting was further enriched by:
• The presence of our two Rotaract Presidents.
• Our Sergeant-at-Arms sharing her experience of Vipassana meditation.
• PP & the first woman Rotarian of Nepal, Dr. Suniti Acharya, sharing updates from a recent program “Role of business in peace promotion: reflection and learning from Asia with special reference to China “ held in Chitwan — co-hosted by RCJ — where eight of our Rotarians participated.
• PEN sharing about the RID 3292 DEI Committee’s upcoming event “Empower HER: An Initiative Within and Beyond Rotary” during the club meeting.
• Our Club Secretary providing updates on the upcoming Board Meeting and Teej Fellowship Program.

PDG AKS Jaya RL Shah extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to PDG Dilendra Raj Shrestha for his excellent presentation and session.

Rotary is all about learning, sharing, and connecting — and today’s meeting was a perfect example of that spirit!
