The Biotechnology Society of Nepal (BSN) is excited to announce Genome Biothon 2026, a national-level biotechnology hackathon focused on the theme:
🔬 “Biotechnology Innovation for Safe, Nutritious, and Sustainable Food Systems in Nepal”
📅 Date: April 23–25, 2026
📍 Venue: Sunway College, Maitidevi, Kathmandu
🌱 Why Genome Biothon?
Nepal is facing critical challenges in its food system — from food safety and malnutrition to post-harvest losses and climate change impacts on agriculture. This hackathon aims to bring together students, researchers, innovators, and professionals to develop practical, biotechnology-driven solutions to these pressing issues.

Rapid food safety diagnostics
Biofortification of traditional crops
Functional foods & nutraceuticals
Climate-resilient agriculture
Biological preservation technologies
Sustainable, eco-friendly bio-inputs

36-hour intensive innovation sprint
