🌟 ORIENTATION SESSION — UNSEEN CHAMPIONS 2026 (Empowering Deaf Youth Through Culture & Leadership)

Today, we held project orientation session for 25 girl students of Central Secondary School for the Deaf, Naxal, Kathmandu.
The primary target group of this 4-month initiative is deaf girls. The project aims to promote a better understanding of disability rights, inclusion, culture, and leadership through the power of the arts. Through the project, we hope to create a space where Deaf young women can express themselves, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and inspire greater inclusion in society.
This initiative is funded by CBM Global Disability Inclusion and jointly organized by CSPD Nepal, Together For Nepal (TFN) & Engage.

ON THE GROUND, WITH THE AFFECTED!
Yesterday, the TFN team, together with our partner organization Nishkam SWAT, visited flood-affected areas of Nuwakot to witness the damage firsthand and better understand the situation & needs of affected families.
We met with local stakeholders to listen, assess the emerging needs and challenges, and explore how TFN and its partners can contribute meaningfully to post-disaster recovery and rebuilding efforts in the days ahead.
During the visit, we also distributed 240 packages of sanitary pads, one of the essential items identified as highly needed by affected communities. More programs on the way….
We listen. We assess. We stand with communities as they rebuild.

🌱 EMPOWERING WOMEN, STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES!!
Women beneficiaries participate in community meetings time to time under our “Economic Empowerment of Dalit & Mushahar Women in Sarlahi” project, supported by Wilde Ganzen The Netherlands.
Through the project, 10 women are receiving support to develop various entrepreneurship skills and start their own small businesses. Beyond individual economic empowerment, these opportunities are expected to create a ripple effect—sharing knowledge, income, confidence, and benefits across their families and the wider community.

🌱 FROM AN OPEN SPACE TO A PLACE OF POSSIBILITIES
It is incredibly encouraging to see our Children’s Learning Center in Bayalbas, Sarlahi, now nearing completion, thanks to the generous support of Nederland Support Nepal.
For the past four years, an open space has been the only place where nearly 100 children from a highly marginalized community have gathered every day through our after-school care program—to learn, laugh, play, and build their confidence. Now, that is about to change.
Soon, the children will have a safe, welcoming space of their own—a place to study, discover new opportunities, nurture their talents, and dream of a brighter future.❤️

This week, our Executive Director, Subhasan Bhattarai, had the privilege of meeting with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) and several organizations within the Presbyterian community at the Presbyterian Center, Kentucky.
The visit was a wonderful opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude for PDA's longstanding partnership and unwavering support for vulnerable communities in Nepal. Over the years, this collaboration has helped bring hope, dignity, and meaningful change to many lives.
The conversations were rich with shared experiences, new ideas, and a common commitment to serving communities with compassion and purpose. It was inspiring to see how organizations from different parts of the world can learn from one another and work together toward a more just, resilient, and caring future.
Our sincere thanks to Rev. Edwin González-Castillo and Rev. Dr. Laurie Kraus and all the meeting participants for their generous time, warm hospitality, and thoughtful conversations. Their kindness, encouragement, and genuine spirit of partnership made this visit truly memorable. 🌿 A DREAM IS TAKING SHAPE IN BAYALBAS, SARLAHI! 🌿
For the past four years, an open field was the only place where nearly 100 children from a deeply marginalized community came to together every day to learn, laugh, play, and build confidence through our after school care program. Today, that dream is becoming something even greater.
With the generous support of Nederland Support Nepal, Together For Nepal is now constructing a Learning Center & Multipurpose Building through the Learning Garden Initiative.

🌱 EMPOWRING WOMEN, TRANSFORMING COMMUNITY!

We've just launched our new project, "Economic Empowerment of Mushahar Dalit Women in Sarlahi," with the generous support of Wilde Ganzen, The Netherlands.

Over the next year, this initiative will support 10 of the most marginalized Mushahar, Dalit women through entrepreneurship and livelihood opportunities, helping them build sustainable incomes and brighter futures.

Together, we're taking another step toward dignity, self-reliance, and lasting community change.
