Relief Assistance Reaches 185 Villagers at Holding Center : Sundarijal, BP chowk, Gokernashwor Nagarpalika -01

After first week of relief work for the Rasuwa victims , we have made it a priority to coordinate more closely with the government to ensure our assistance is timely, effective, and reaches communities with the most urgent needs.

On 4 October, BIA received an emergency request for support from Mr.Niraj Chaundhary from Communication and Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Women, Children, Senior Citizen and Social Security, for a holding center that is relatively unknown to the wider public due to its location.
The holding center at Sundarijal, BP chowk, Gokernashwor Nagarpalika -01 is providing a safe place for 185 villagers out of which 70 are children. The villagers urgently needed food rations, stationery supplies, and medical assistance.

Upon receiving the request, the BIA team immediately mobilized and delivered relief supplies for them.
During our visit, we also learned that the community has a significant number of children and young people whose needs continued attention. At the request of the village head, BIA will be returning soon with a medical team and an additional round of essential supplies.

We are deeply grateful to all our supporters whose continued trust and contributions enable us to respond whenever communities reach out for help. Your support allows us to act quickly and stand with those who need assistance most.

BIA Foundation continues to stand with Humanity

As part of our ongoing disaster-relief efforts, BIA Foundation has been in frequent coordination with the Government Disaster Relief Team, working to understand urgent needs and provide timely assistance.
We have already provided support at Nuwakot and Rasuwa through the distribution of essential relief goods.
Today, BIA Foundation provided urgent supplies to the Ministry of Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities, and Social Security (MoWCGSS) to support 20 babies. The essential supplies handed over included:
• Baby massage oil�• Soft baby wipes�• Baby soap�• Surf/detergent�• Diapers in different sizes�• Lactogen infant formula�• Johnson’s Baby Powder
This assistance is a contribution toward ensuring that these babies receive the care, comfort, and essential supplies they urgently need.
BIA Foundation remains committed to coordinating with government authorities, disaster-relief teams, and humanitarian partners to extend support wherever it is most needed.

Second Relief Aid to Flood-Affected at Rasuwa district
With the generous support of our BIA members, supporters, and friends, we successfully organized our second relief aid mission to the flood-affected areas of Rasuwa.

This time, our team travelled to Nilkantha School, Uttargaya Rural Municipality, Betra woti, Rasuwa, which is currently serving as a key relief receiving and distribution center for communities affected by the devastating floods. And functioning as a holding center.

We departed Kathmandu at 6:00 AM and reached the destination at around 4:30 PM. The journey was challenging, with extremely difficult road conditions. Yet, we were deeply moved to see individuals, communities, private groups, and organized teams coming together and navigating these difficult routes to ensure essential relief reaches those who need it most.

According to the local government, the center initially accommodated 150 victims evacuated from high-risk areas before they were transferred to Kathmandu. It is now being used as a stock receiving and distribution hub, from where relief supplies are being delivered to other affected holding centers and communities by road and, where necessary, by helicopter.

Through this mission, we successfully delivered two truckloads and one mini-pickup load of essential relief supplies, including:

Cooking gas, Tents and tarpaulins, Rice and dal, Cooking oil, Sanitary pads, Solar lights and, torchlights, bathing and Laundry soap, Toothpaste and toothbrushes, Other essential household supplies.

We are immensely grateful to everyone who contributed, supported, coordinated, transported, and stood with us in this effort. Your kindness and solidarity are helping bring much-needed support to families facing an incredibly difficult time.

𝗕𝗼𝗱𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝘁𝘃𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Essential goods were packed on 28 of August until 7pm. A total of 200 buckets with capacity of 18/20 liters were filled with Rice, Dal, Bitten Rice, Oil, Salt, Soap, Sanitary Pad, toothpaste, and toothbrush.

1 Bucket = 1 Family

29 August, these buckets were dispatched from Kathmandu to Nuwakot in a Truck and a pickup vehicle. And handed over to the District Administration Office at Army Barrack.

31 August, we planned to supply the needs to Rasuwa. As Rasuwa still facing in shortage of essential goods. We are in contact with one of the representatives of Rasuwa Kalika Rural Municipality because the road is not easily accessible. We have listed their needs and to transport these items, We need a truck with 4 Wheel-Drive mode. Transport vehicle is managed.

The volunteers are making the available of the necessary items. Our collection point is at Swoyambhu, Sertshang home. The supplies will be dispatched tomorrow morning.

BIA for Nepal- Disaster Relief Work

Following the devastating floods that occurred on 26 August 2026, BIA Foundation has initiated its first phase of relief efforts to support families affected by this unfortunate disaster.
Through an internal fundraising initiative involving our sister projects, together with our supporters and beneficiaries, we have come together to raise funds for those in need.
With the funds collected, we have prepared 200 relief buckets, each containing essential food and hygiene items, including : rice, dal, beaten rice (chiura), sanitary pads, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, salt, tea, and cooking oil. These relief packages will be distributed to 200 families directly affected by the disaster.
We are especially grateful to the children of Sertshang Home, who took part in packing and preparing these relief supplies with care, compassion, and a true spirit of community service.
While the Foundation encourages wider contributions to the "Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund" for broader disaster response, we also felt it was important to extend a direct and heartfelt contribution to families facing hardship during this difficult time.
This humble effort is our way of saying "You are not alone!". We stand together with every family affected by the floods and wish them safety, strength, and security as they overcome this challenging period.
