Some summers pass by.

Others become the beginning of something bigger.

A question.
An idea.
A discovery.

This summer, an opportunity awaits those who are curious enough to explore beyond the classroom."NSSR Summer Research Fellowship 2026"
Welcome to the NSSR Summer Research Fellowship (NSRF).

The NSRF is an intensive, structured research training program by the Nepalese Society of Student Researchers (NSSR) designed for students and young researchers who are passionate about academic research and interdisciplinary exploration.

This fellowship provides participants with the opportunity to engage with real research papers, develop analytical and scientific thinking, and work within structured research groups. For the current fellowship cycle, NSSR is particularly seeking applicants interested in Materials Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML), Economics, Biophysics, Plasma Physics, Number Theory, Astrophysics, and related interdisciplinary fields. Applicants from other research areas are also encouraged to apply; however, available mentorship and project opportunities may vary depending on the field.

Selected fellows will be grouped based on their interests and academic background. The program includes paper reading, structured analysis, report writing, and regular presentation of findings in internal NSSR research sessions.

Applicants will be evaluated based on interest, motivation, academic clarity, and commitment to research work. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for additional evaluation or interview.

📌 Eligibility: Open to Nepalese students only, with a primary focus on high school and undergraduate students. Applicants from other academic levels are also welcome to apply.
📌 Seats: Limited to approximately 15 students from across Nepal.
📌 Duration: Approximately 3 months.

✨ The NSSR Summer Research Fellowship is free of cost for all selected participants.

🌍 World Environment Day 2026

Every scientific breakthrough begins with understanding the world around us. Today, on World Environment Day, we are reminded that protecting our environment is not just a responsibility, it is a necessity for the future of research, innovation, and humanity.

From climate science and biodiversity to sustainable technology and public health, environmental challenges demand evidence-based solutions and collaborative action.

At the Nepalese Society of Student Researchers (NSSR), we encourage students and young researchers to explore, question, and contribute toward a more sustainable future through research and scientific inquiry.

🌱 Small actions create lasting impact.
🔬 Research drives informed decisions.
🌎 Together, we can build a greener and more resilient world.

Happy World Environment Day!
