🚨 URGENT FLOOD & LANDSLIDE ALERT | GORKHA, NEPAL 🇳🇵

⚠️ Situation Update: Chum Nubri Rural Municipality, Ward No. 3

Reports indicate that the bridge connecting Nyakchet and Philim Bazaar in Chum Nubri Rural Municipality, Gorkha District, has been swept away by floodwaters. Muddy floodwater has also entered several homes in the Ghatte Khola area, and the river level continues to rise.

Following the incident, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force Nepal (APF), Nepal Army, and the local administration are involved in emergency response and rescue efforts. Helicopters have also been deployed to support rescue operations and evacuate affected residents to safer locations.

🔹 Residents living near rivers, streams, and flood-prone areas should remain highly alert and move to higher, safer ground immediately if there is any risk.

🔹 Stay away from riverbanks, bridges, landslide-prone slopes, and flooded roads.

usually Better or Clear till 03oct. Some broken day clds grow up to about 5500m.

04-07Sept: As some moisture increases are indicated together with little disturbed pressure pattern above about 5000m, there are some indication of some occasional Clouds growth during 04-07oct and risks 2-5cm SN, most likely by af-evng- before mid-ngt or early ngts.

Freezing level:
4600-4800m hence SN risks are above this level but Rain shower below this level.

🏔️ HIMLUNG HIMAL SEARCH & RECOVERY | PHASE I & II

The NNMGA Search & Rescue Team has completed Phase II of the search and recovery operation at Himlung Himal Base Camp.

Phase I, led by Mingma G. Sherpa, IFMGA Mountain Guide, was followed by Phase II, led by Pasang Kaji Sherpa, IFMGA Mountain Guide.

Despite extreme conditions and more than 14 feet of snow, the teams made every possible effort to locate survivors and bring home those who lost their lives. Fifteen individuals have been recovered and identified. Sadly, Mr. Pasang Nuri Sherpa remains missing.

Another four bodies have been recovered today, bringing the total number of recovered bodies from the Himlung Avalanche area to eight, according to Rescue Team Leader Pasang Kaji Sherpa, IFMGA Mountain Guide.

The NNMGA Search & Rescue Team, in coordination with Himalayan Holidays, Seven Summit Treks, and local guides, continues the search and recovery operation under extremely difficult and challenging conditions.

A total of 11 rescuers, including experienced mountain guides and local rescue personnel, are involved in the ongoing operation.

‼️ HIMLUNG SEARCH & RESCUE RECOVERY MISSION | NNMGA 🏔️

The NNMGA Search & Rescue Team, in coordination with Himalayan Holidays Company, continues the search and recovery operation in the Himlung avalanche area.

Over the past two days, the team recovered the bodies of:

• Chhebi Bhote
• Pasang Bhote
• Birendra Gurung
• Ghan Shyam Rai

Today, three more deceased climbers were recovered:

• Ash Gurung
• Suraj Rai
• Kalam Budha

The operation will continue tomorrow under the leadership of IFMGA/NNMGA Mountain Guides Pasang Kaji Sherpa (Team Leader) and Bikram Karki, with five experienced climbing guides and the rescue team working together in challenging conditions.

Our deepest condolences go to the families, friends, and loved ones of all those who lost their lives in this tragic incident. 🙏🕯️

The NNMGA remains committed to the search and recovery mission until the operation is completed, while prioritizing the safety of everyone involved.

NNMGA Guides Mr. Pasang Kaji Sherpa and Mr. Bikram Karki, together with 15+ experienced climbing guides and local team members, will be deployed to the Himlung Himal area today and tomorrow to carry out the search and rescue operation.
